Absolutely beautiful little spot overlooking the river! Awesome German food I would more expect in Munich than Skowhegan; We trusted them with our Anniversary and we were not disappointed! The schnitzel was terrific and the sauces were too good to give up the plates!

    Naturekeg approved!

Great new spot for food in Skowhegan! We loved the German-style menu—bratwurst, schnitzel, spelt pretzel and the crisped smashed potato with curry mayo were all delicious! Great service too, we’ll definitely make the trip to come back!

Great people and Excellent food! It took me back to my time in Germany! Had a great beer in a German Style Mug, and met the owner and some of the staff. Authentic down to earth folks here!
Have the Fogtown Night Nurse if you like stouts like I do, and the Chicken Shnitzel!
I wish I knew the name of the band there last night! They were so soulful!

I just had dinner here for the 1st time, can't wait to return. I had the wurst platter w the potato salad, my mother had the chicken schnitzel, all very good! The sausages were very good quality, and spatzel delicious! I really love that they put in a stage and there was live background music. The decor was understated so the beauty of the old building shone through. The staff was pleasant. I would like to see more German beer selections. I will recommend and return.

We wanted to try out this restaurant since I’m originally from Germany born and raised . We had an amazing server . The food on the other hand is just not authentic sorry. No Spätzle is made out of spelt flour originally in Germany , the sausages were missing flavor so did the red cabbage and the sauerkraut, the sauerkraut had no salty nor vinegary flavor it was very bland . The red cabbage the way we know it is usually cooked in apple and has more of a sweeter flavor as well. I was a little confused when the serve came out and said they couldn’t do the kaesespaetzel because you guys ran out of the sauce but it’s not made out of sauce , the German potato salad had a decent flavor but definitely the wrong way of serving it . We didn’t try the schnitzel mainly because of how it said it was a chicken schnitzel not quite sure why you guys would offer chicken only ? In Germany it’s either veal or pork. We also had the pretzel which I believe was made out of spelt flour as well which didn’t really taste much like a pretzel in our opinion. The beer cheese dip was good and had the right flavor . Overall I feel like the prices are a bit high with it not being authentic German food and it would probably be best to adjust the dishes to actually add authenticity to it so people actually know what German food taste likes
