★ 5A wonderful breakfast joint. The biscuits are big; crisp on the outside & tender on the inside....and taste sooo good! This was the best biscuit I've eaten...better than home-made.
You got a choice of mushroom gravy or sausage gravy, I had the sausage. The best I've ever tasted. It was seasoned perfectly. -

★ 1Wow let me start by saying I’ve been going here for years, because the biscuits have been amazing in the past. I went most recently on 1/3/2026 at 1:15pm and what a nightmare.
I’ll start with the worst: my chicken was undercooked and I didn’t notice until I ate half because it’s smothered in gravy (see photo).
Other issues:nnIt’s sincerely dirty in there. All you have to do is look around. One example is there are air ducts over the grills they cook on absolutely coated w dust and grime, there’s no way it’s not falling on the food. It really needs a deep clean.
Our order was wrong. I ask if they could add cheese to a sandwich, they charged me but they didn’t add it. My partner asked to sub the meat on his biscuit, they don’t do subs they said. That’s fine, they asked for extra gravy because last time there was like none on the biscuit. They charged him $3 for extra gravy making the total $20 for a biscuit. They forgot to give us the 3oz cup of $3 gravy so we had to go back for it.
For $20 a sandwich, there is much better food in Portland. Sad to see this place decline. -

★ 2I cannot recommend the corn dog nor the sausage biscuit and gravy, the corn dog was not like any corn dog I have ever had - there was essentially no breading and the dog used had little bits of fat in it you could see and taste. The gravy... Well it tasted more like onion and spices than sausage and was slightly spicy, the biscuit wasn't anything to write home about. The hash browns I got as a side and service at the front counter to order was good, that's about it.

★ 5As a person who only loves her own biscuits and gravy I very much appreciate that I can get a really good version when I go to Portland. The biscuits were amazing. They were fluffy and buttery and perfect - everything a good biscuit should be. Look, the sausage gravy will never be what I want it to be but this one...this one is close. I love that it's pepper forward and has a nice spice to it.
Service was fine - atmosphere was fine. I only gave it 4 stars because you have to bus your own tables and what not. But, I get it. -

★ 4Wanted to give this place a try today. 1 hr free street parking. Order food and drinks at counter then find a table. Very small inside but also have covered outside tables. Waited maybe 10 min for food. My husband got the chicken fried steak plate. The steak was very small so the cook added a piece of chicken with it. I got the chatfield biscuit. Good flavors all around. Signs ask for you to bus your own table.
