★ 5I have a son with some different abilities and he and his girlfriend (similar different abilities) wanted to have their first date in public - alone. So myself (his mom) and her mom went early in the day to make a reservation and talk with them about the help they may need during the date. Ashley met us at the door and was AMAZING with helping us decide what would be best for them. They set up a special table ready for their wheelchairs and with the table decorations we brought in to surprise them. When we got there with the kids for their date, Hannah jumped in as the server and along with Ashley they made their date PERFECT! They were kind and patient and made them feel so special! I can not thank you enough for taking on the challenge and showing such kindness towards them. You made a public first date something we will all remember.
BONUS: we (the parents and brother) ate on the upper level so they couldn’t see us nor us see them. Our meal and service was so good! Same two staff - Ashley and Hannah!
Thank you again for an incredible evening!! ❤️ -

★ 5Great meal from start to finish. We started with a Moscow Mule and Bluberry Festival cocktail and complimentary bread with olive oil. Our server was prompt and very accommodating. Our meals were caeser salad, Mussel and Clam linguine, and Ravioli Prima Vera, both were tonight's specials, cooked perfectly and delicious. This restaurant is in the remodeled historic Bass Shoe manufacturing building which was what the town of Wilton is known for. We dined on the back deck which is on the river. They reccomend reservations for inside dining, however we thoroughly enjoyed the Al Fresco dining in perfect weather.
A charming place. Great food reasonably priced. Kudos to staff and chef. Well done! We will be back. -

★ 5Calzolaio’s is a standout dining experience and easily one of those places you remember long after the meal. Visiting from Florida, it immediately felt special—warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian with a Maine twist. The homemade sauces and fresh pasta are incredible, and the brick-oven pizza is perfectly done with a crisp, flavorful crust. The way they pair classic Italian dishes with fresh Maine seafood and high-quality meats is seamless and impressive.
What truly elevates the experience, though, is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food, they make you feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. Whether you’re local or visiting, Calzolaio’s is absolutely worth your time—I’d be back in a heartbeat. -

★ 5What a great dinner in a cozy atmosphere. The chef (Italian from NY) made the most delicious meal from starter, main course and a light Tiramisu for dessert. We had a really nice server. Seth, was chatty and attentive without being overbearing. He made some great recommendations (including ‘you can’t go wrong with the special’) and the fact that we could eat the orchids to clean our palette.
We were there last minute on a Monday evening and it was busy - so if you are thinking of going on a weekend probably good idea to call ahead for a reservation.
A superb meal and HIGHLY recommend it!!!
