★ 4We really enjoyed our evening here. The food was well prepared and very flavorful. They have a rotating international menu — this time it was Brazil — which I found unique and appealing. We ordered the Brazilian appetizer which was chicken coxinha, fish & chips, rigatoni alla vodka, the pork chop, and the short rib. We had cherry creme brulee, cheesecake, and blueberry bread pudding with ice cream for dessert. Every plate, for each course, was completely cleaned off. Billy was our waiter and he was excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable, and quiet but still lively.

★ 5The Porter Kitchen and Bar is an excellent spot for a delicious meal and great atmosphere. I had the seafood cioppino, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I also tried the blueberry pie, and it was just as amazing—sweet, homemade, and the perfect finish to the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend The Porter Kitchen and Bar for anyone who enjoys great food and warm hospitality!

★ 4We have been staying at the Harraseeket Inn for a little over a week and have had breakfast at Porters several times, including the continental breakfast buffet, as well as ordering many dishes from the à la carte menu. Each time the highlight of the experience has been the service. We have experienced exemplary service from Celeste many times, and will continue to request to be seated in her section every time we visit. She is truly a credit to this establishment and should be commended for her professionalism and warmth.
Now, on to the food. I will admit to being a little bit biased because we have stayed at the Harraseeket many times over the years, and know what the breakfast buffet used to be like, but I have to say, through no fault of the staff, the offerings are significantly diminished since our last visit. Previously, before the new management took over, I would have said that the hotel and restaurant had the most expansive and wonderful breakfast buffet of any hotel in the region. This is not the case now. The a la carte menu items are very limited, and expensive for what they are. They are just good, not particularly mind-blowing. I would not say this is the fault of the kitchen staff, they simply are working with the limited resources they have. As for the continental breakfast buffet, it is simply ok. Nothing special, especially compared to their previous buffet offering. Again, I admit to being somewhat biased based on my previous experiences. I believe there is room for improvement where breakfast is concerned, and I would like to see it upon my next visit. In all honesty, my rating for the breakfast would probably be closer to a 3.5 if Google had the option for partial stars.
