By far the best café in town! This is such a beautiful old building and so cute inside with lots of art on the walls! The specialty lattes are my favorite, but everything they serve is phenomenal! They also have teas, energy drinks, Italian sodas, soup, and sandwiches. And a great assortment of pastries. The baristas are so sweet and definitely know what they are doing! A great place to hang out and catch up with friends. Comfy seating inside, and the deck also is a great place to sit as well and watch Main Street. There is also a gift shop on the other side of the building that has all kinds of lovely handmade products from local artisans and small businesses. Definitely a must see!

The Coffee Maker in Freeport is one of those rare places that feels welcoming the moment you step through the door. It has that perfect small-town warmth, comfortable, unpretentious, and clearly run by people who care about creating a great experience for every customer. The atmosphere strikes an ideal balance between cozy and bright, making it the kind of spot where you can settle in with a book, catch up with a friend, or get a little work done without feeling rushed.
Their coffee is consistently excellent. You can tell they take pride in their craft. The brews are smooth, flavorful, and reliably well-made no matter what you order. Whether it’s a simple drip or something more indulgent, every cup tastes intentional. The food menu pairs perfectly with the coffee: fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and just the right size for a quick breakfast or mid-day pick-me-up.
What really sets The Coffee Maker Café apart, though, is the staff. They’re friendly without being forced, attentive without hovering, and genuinely appreciative of the people who walk through their doors. It gives the whole place a community feel that’s hard to fake.
If you find yourself in Freeport, make a point to stop in. It’s one of those cafés that leaves you in a better mood than when you arrived.

We stopped into MADE Café with the family and ended up loving it way more than we expected. The space is beautiful but still feels relaxed and welcoming — not stuffy at all. It’s the kind of place where everyone feels comfortable hanging out for a bit.

The coffee was great (huge win for the adults), and it was honestly so fun being able to browse and shop while we were there. There are so many cool Maine-made items — unique gifts, things you actually want to take home, not just typical souvenir stuff. It made the whole visit feel like more of an experience than just grabbing a drink.

Such a great addition — we’ll definitely be back.

We ended up coming back to this coffee shop multiple times after visiting from out of state. We were staying in Brunswick, and this coffee house is only 15 minutes away.

What a gem!!! When you walk in you feel right at home with an incredibly warm and cozy atmosphere. This space has beautiful large windows that let in a lot of natural light, stylish mid century modern sofas and chairs, and very comfortable table and chair sets. They maximized comfort and seating so well for this space inside and outside.

Right away you are greeted by friendly staff behind the counter and get full view of beautiful pastries and baked goods. The coffee is delicious! Each time we came we got something different, but my husbands favorite was their Casco Bay Fog, and mine was their Dirigo mocha. Our daughter loved their chocolate croissant's!

Overall, this was our favorite coffee shop in Maine, and we visited several different cities during our time here. We are so thankful for the wonderful experience and we hope to come back again soon!

I recommend my guests here all the time! I work at Acapello Salon up the street. My favorite so far is the seven layer coconut bar and the katahdin caramel latte
