The flavor was there only the small pieces were really tender. The other pieces were kind of dried. They should’ve cooked for another hour. The yellow rice was good. The carrots were hard. You guys used to be really good like 7-8years ago this is ridiculous. And then the fact that your stew beef is $20 is even more crazy. This ain’t oxtails and it used to be way cheaper back in the day way cheaper.

Their digital menu was down and they didn't have any paper menus when I stopped in. When I asked about prices, they were visibly annoyed letting me know it would be a lot of effort to get it from the system. The ended up making a phone call to another employee.

I ordered a stew chicken and curry shrimp meal. Both were average at best. The chicken pieces were cut so big that it looked like they rushed through preparing it. The rice and peas smelled and tasted off, something between staleness and slightly burned. I didn't enjoy it. The curry shrimp was for a friend, and she said it was fine.

For what you get compared to the prices, I'd say to take your dollars elsewhere or save your dollars and make it at home. It wasn't great.

Listen, if you’re black and don’t have hispanic or caribbean facial features and you don’t want to fake an accent then don’t even bother coming here. The food is cool but every single time I come here there’s a dominican person in line who gets the meatiest parts of chicken, 4 full scoops of gravy, and a full platter of rice with the gravy mashed into it. When i’m getting my plate, I get half bones, not even a full platter of rice and 2 half scoops of gravy that ain’t even on top of the rice, and I get charged 2 dollars more. Im sick of being treated like I do from white people from somebody who has the same complexion as me.

I love the food at Flames, it's always delicious. During this visit I got Rice and Peas with vegetables and Stew chicken and another order of Rice and Peas with Oxtail they were both bursting with flavor. They are constantly delicious! I've been a customer for years and will continue to be so for years to come!
