★ 5Really nice place. Food and service were great. The corned beef hash is homemade and delicious. Get it on the side, in an omelette or as a Benedict either way it’s delicious. This location is a good size and has a train theme that had my twins captivated by the engine running around the dining room. The tots are sneaky addictive.

★ 4We visited Nellie Rose Restaurant in Middleborough with a group of six even though we did not have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and seated us quickly. Later, two more friends joined us, bringing our group to eight. The table had an extension that made it easy to fit everyone comfortably, which was perfect.
Our waitress, Rachel, was amazing. She had a great attitude, was friendly, and handled our large group with ease. She kept up with our drink orders from start to finish. We had about six or seven coffees at the table, and she stayed on top of refills the whole time. She even offered to get us coffees to go at the end, which was a nice gesture.
I ordered the steak tips cooked medium well with home fries, eggs, and raisin toast. The steak tips were cooked perfectly, tender inside with a nice char on the outside. The raisin toast was incredible with a light cinnamon sugar edge that made it stand out. Others at the table ordered omelets and French toast, and everyone said their meals were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and every plate was finished.
We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for a table, which was reasonable considering how popular the restaurant is. Once we were seated, the food came out quickly and everything was fresh and hot.
The restaurant itself had a very cozy and nostalgic feel. The decor fit perfectly with its warm, welcoming atmosphere. There was a beautiful railroad train photo on the wall that really caught our attention and added to the charm of the space.
Overall, it was an excellent experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all came together to make it a wonderful visit. Rachel’s positive energy and great service made it even better. Highly recommend Nellie Rose if you are in the area. -

★ 5Had breakfast here this morning for the first time and loved everything about this place. The train theme decor is very well done; the waitstaff is friendly and good; the food is excellent. It’s cute, warm and friendly - great vibes. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated - no problem - there’s so much to look at on the walls and there’s a model train circulating above. It’s noisy - happy noise - people enjoying a good breakfast or lunch and good company. The staff is young and seem happy to be there. The portions are ample and the food is well prepared. The menu is varied - we both had Eggs Benedict - the hollandaise sauce was superb - and my home fries and my boyfriend’s tater tots were both super. I also had a super-spicy Bloody Mary in a mason jar that came with celery, lemon, lime & and olive. We will definitely return! Our new favorite breakfast place.

★ 3Very peculiar presentation on the eggs Benedict.
Home fries were mediocre. The little train noise drove me nuts. Server was somewhat friendly.
