  I went to 297 tonight for my birthday and I am so so happy about my experience here! Kenneth was our server and he truly made this the best birthday experience at a restaurant. He seemed like he genuinely wanted to make it feel special, and he did! Kenneth is truly a master of his craft :)nnThe food was also delicious!! Great spot, will be coming back next time I’m in town

  We had a rare night out to celebrate our anniversary and this place does not disappoint! Our server Kenneth deserves a raise he went above and beyond was absolutely outstanding!!! You can tell he loves what he does and it made our night so enjoyable.
  
  Our meals were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Both of our drinks were amazing as well. My wife is quite the connoisseur of the espresso martini and these guys knew how to make it perfectly. I had the smoked old-fashioned and besides the amazing presentation it was delicious!
  
  My only recommendation for the ambience is for them to turn the house lights a little dimmer so it’s not so bright and in your face, but the music was perfect. All the best songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior were a perfect setting.

  If you're in the Pittsfield area, and enjoy fine dining, you have to try this place. It's upscale but not pompous. The food was amazing. My filet mignon oscar was cooked to perfection for me. Our server Kenneth was very nice and very attentive.

  My husband and I hosted our wedding with Rare 297 Steakhouse as our event coordinator and caterer at the Hotel on North in March 2026. We had an absolutely amazing experience working with Santiago, Jose, and their entire team!! They are extremely professional and organized, working with us to create a custom menu for our cocktail hour and reception, including a delicious sushi bar and four unique options for dinner (please try their steak and the berry mocktails, you won't regret it). Santiago worked with us to decorate the Shire Hall, from the layout to linens and gorgeous floral centerpieces, and it truly exceeded our expectations. He was patient answering all of our questions and we went into our wedding weekend with so much confidence and excitement, knowing that the team was well prepared and so easy to work with. We heard nothing but positive feedback from our family and friends and we totally agree. We can't wait to come back for a meal in the future for special occasions and highly would recommend working with them for a wedding or other group event like a shower or party!
