★ 5We just had breakfast at Tinta on our first morning in Ft Lauderdale. Our waiter, Daniel, was 5-star! The food? Light but filling - I had the huevos rancheros - black beans, perfectly poached eggs placed on crispy tortillas and and a flavorful sauce. My partner had the Mexico City omelette, a combination of carne asade, pineapple, onion and cheese with lovely slices. Fresh and not overwhelming. We both agreed the food was excellent, so good that I forgot to take photos!
Let me tell you a few things that might give you clarity if you’re looking into having breakfast at Tinta, which is located in the Westin. If you follow Google maps, you won’t find it. What you will see is Lona. This space is Tinta for breakfast and Lona for lunch and dinner.
Since we were not staying at the Westin, we were seated inside the restaurant rather than on the patio. The inside is four star but a little dark. I’m sure the patio is a five star experience.
Try Tinta - and see if you can get seating outside! -

★ 5Had a wonderful breakfast here! The oceanfront setting is absolutely beautiful. Nothing beats enjoying a meal with those views! I had the Mexican City Omelette and it was fresh, flavourful, and really hit the spot, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A perfect place to start the day, especially if you love good food paired with a great view. Would definitely come back!

★ 5excellent breakfast experience with fantastic views of the ocean and cool breeze blowing through. enjoyed the Yucatan omelet and carnitas hash breakfast entrees. the Mexican spritzer and cafe latte were also spot on. servers were welcoming and hustled. great overall experience, we would go back again if in Ft Lauderdale.

★ 2Breakfast place with a nice view, but disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow—I waited around 15 minutes just to place my order. When the food finally arrived, it was very oily, which I honestly did not expect at all. It really took away from the meal and made the experience unpleasant. The place itself is beautiful and has a great view, so it’s nice if you just want to sit and relax, but the food and service definitely need improvement.

★ 4Bit of a mixed review here:
Food: good food, fairly creative menu items, my carnitas hash was loaded with flavorful pork, the eggs were an afterthought. Service was ok, they served coffee on a mug with lipstick on it (all men in my party), water wasn’t refilled, had to ask for cream multiple times. Food came out fairly quickly though. Ambiance: they had music blasting in the 2nd room, many guests were displeased, we asked them to lower the volume since we couldn’t hear each other, which they did, only to be amped up again minutes later, to which we were told ‘someone is looking into fixing it’… ummm, it’s just a knob!
Price: Food was good but just the service charge alone (not tip) makes these prices very high for the quality.
This is a place for tourists, you are paying for ocean view, for us locals there are better options.
