  I've been coming to the Lighthouse Restaurant for 40 years, through two generations of chef/owners. The food is the best around, at a reasonable price, and well away from the crowds of Bar Harbor in beautiful and quiet Seal Harbor. My favorite, which I always get, is their oyster stew. The lobster stew is also superb. In fact, I've never had a bad meal there. Try this hidden gem of Acadia the next time you're hungry after a hike or bicycle ride!

  Honestly don’t like leaving bad reviews but for the experience this is one to miss.
  
  Ordered a margarita…. got mixer on ice no tequila. Charged for the tequila to put in the margarita when made aware there was none. Salad was soggy like it was made beforehand , seasoned with fruit flies. Oyster roll was okay but also ordered fries with it….got chips. Crab cakes were like pancakes and falling apart.
  Overall wasn’t pleased felt like I paid to be disappointed.

  Got to the restaurant just before it opened so we had a chance to walk around for a bit. Very nice location but limited parking. Once it opened we were served pretty soon considering one woman was doing everything including setting up the bar. We had a nice chat with her and she told us about the very good water they get and we ordered a bowl of oyster stew and their special mushroom burger. The burger was one of the better burgers I've had for awhile and my daughter was amazed by the quantity and quality of the oysters in the stew. We left as they were getting busy and spent some time at the wall a short distance away on Seal Cove. What a great view and so relaxing!

  Service was nice and the beer was cold. Other than that, it's the best Sysco pre-made has to offer. Hopefully they can turn it around.

  We loved this restaurant for breakfast!! Seafood omelette was amazing. Filled with plenty of shrimp, scallops and lobster and delectably cheesy. Some of the best buttered white toast I’ve had. Sausage bagel breakfast sandwich was good and came with an over easy egg. Portion size on the omelette was generous. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 8am so it was nice and quiet.
  
  Recommend parking at the lot by the beach and taking the walking path.
