★ 3Here’s a balanced version in English:nnI visited this restaurant and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The place is beautiful, pleasant, and very well designed. The staff was also friendly and welcoming, so in terms of ambiance and service, I would give it a 10/10.
Unfortunately, the food did not match the same level. I ordered the brisket sandwich with truffle fries, but the sandwich did not really taste or feel like brisket, at least not what I would expect from brisket. The truffle fries also had almost no truffle flavor, which was disappointing. For that dish, I would rate it a 3/10.
I was with other people who ordered burgers, and their experience was also just average, around a 4/10. Overall, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and kind staff, but the food, especially the brisket sandwich and truffle fries, was below expectations. -

★ 5First time here loved it. Food was great. I had a chance to set up the way back bar before my girlfriend and family came. Then we moved up to the front for dinner. There’s multiple places you can enjoy a good meal or drinks with friends. I highly recommend it during the Woburn area or anywhere close to it to stop in. This was Christmas time which made an extra special. God bless all of you and come down to Sam Walker’s American tavern for a great night feel like to see the full video. Go to life with Larry on YouTube.

★ 5Went in for lunch on a Sunday. Place was packed but no wait to be seated. They only have a brunch menu until 5 on weekends. The menu has lunch options also . We started with the Italian egg rolls . They’re delicious! Whoever thought of these are a genius. Chicken and waffles are to die for . Our server was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back .

★ 5We made a reservation for New Year's Eve for the 5 of us but the restaurant is huge so we probably didn't even need one. The parking lot was very full but we managed to find a spot. We started wit the nachos and added pork and Guacamole. They were delicious and the chips themselves are seasoned and spicy! For an entree, I had the braised short rib and the blue cheese mashed potatoes were fantastic. The rest of the family had the burger deluxe, OG classic pizza, and hot bird sandwich. For dessert, the kids had sundaes and my boyfriend and I split the apple pie cheesecake and it was good. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely go back. The bar area was huge and looked like a good place to watch sports as well. We were seated in quieter area off to the side (which was great for us!) and they gave us a sling for our baby car seat. Our server was excellent and everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and nice. The drink lady seemed quite extensive but we didn't order off it. They have a kids menu but my kids ordered off the main menu. Our total bill before tip was $144.

★ 5If you think mid-week tavern food is just an afterthought, Sam Walker’s American Tavern is here to prove you wrong. We came here on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday. She had been here once before and insisted I would love the food. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical, but I was absolutely blown away.
The Vibe & Service:
Logistics matter, so I was thrilled to find plenty of parking. Inside, the ambiance is wonderfully cozy with a mildly busy, comfortable energy at the bar. We brought our 1.5-year-old toddler, which can sometimes complicate dining out, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress greeted us before we had even settled into our chairs, and the service was top-notch from start to finish.
Drinks & Kids Meal:
My wife ordered one of their mule mocktails, which was incredible. Knowing we were on a toddler’s schedule, we ordered her the fish and chips right away. The kitchen was super fast—it came out remarkably quick and was fantastic. It kept our little one happily occupied the entire meal (she even learned how to dip her fries in ketchup and ranch tonight!).
The Food:
We originally planned to start with appetizers and order entrees later, but the portions were so decent that we never made it to the main courses!n• Dry Rub Chicken Wings: A masterclass in execution. Decently sized and served at the perfect temperature. They were crispy on the outside, beautifully moist on the inside, and cooked to absolute perfection. Honestly incredible.n• Buffalo Chicken Nachos: These stole the show. I have eaten plenty of nachos in my life, but these were unequivocally the best I’ve ever had (my wife wholeheartedly agreed). The secret? Even the tortilla chips themselves are seasoned! They were loaded with a highly generous amount of everything, topped off with fresh guacamole. We completely wiped the plate clean. Highly recommend!
Dessert:
We capped off the night with a warm brownie accompanied by their made-from-scratch ice cream. An absolutely incredible finish to the meal.
The Verdict:
I am shockingly surprised by the elite caliber of the quality, taste, and service here. Everything about this place fired on all cylinders. I will definitely be returning to see if they maintain this level of consistency, but for now, I cannot recommend Sam Walker's enough!
