★ 5Norms is Norms - #25 La CIENEGA, Los Angeles, CA. … your typical comfort food. However, since I had not had pancakes in a few years I craved a good pancake. So off to Norms we went after a meeting and since we were in this part of town off to norms we went. My family had never been to norms and enjoyed their meals. We had eggs Benedict and 2 veggie omelette; they were decent and hit the spot. But the pancakes were all worth it! The best.
Maricela, our server was great, caring and efficient - professional- making sure our coffee cups were full of hot coffee and we were pleased with our food.
Thanks for the yummy comfort food; off to OC now. -

★ 1Just the facts:
Visited at midnight on a Tuesday night.
Just 2 of us.
Was sat rather quick but the table offered was dirty, so we stood until the host got a cloth and cleaned the table - there were other clean tables available, no idea why we were given a dirty table.
Ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich, it was horrible, the chicken was dry, you could tell it was frozen, the bread was dry and not toasted, the fries were stuck together, the tomato made the sandwich juicy but overall very basic food.
My friend ordered pancakes with chicken tenders, the chicken tenders needed a chainsaw to cut into and the pancake had a strong taste of eggs, tasted like it was cooked with some fried eggs on the side.
We barely ate, we had 2/3 bites each. We asked for the bill and was offered a takeaway box, which we politely declined but they also didn’t care why we didn’t eat 95% of the food.
Drinks were great, everything else was horrible, I’d recommend McDonald’s or taco bell or anything else over Norms. Seems like mostly frozen ingredients and the waitress didn’t care. -

★ 5I love Norms hadn’t been in a while and the burger I ordered was cooked to perfection. Nice and crispy fries with the right amount of salt, paired nicely with mustard as I’m not a ketchup fan. Try the steak sauce on your burger you’ll thank me later! Well deserved 5 stars all around

★ 2Food hardly had any flavor to it. French toast tasted more like egg and took forever to come out from the kitchen. Was the last thing we were waiting on from our order. My mother in laws sirloin steak dish was served only with carrots instead of the advertised veggie mix on the menu. Family of 5 was sat at a small table, my daughter had to sit off to the side at a table by herself. The table was covered in syrup. The waitress was very apologetic and sweet.

★ 5Norms will always hold a special place in my heart. Many late night Irish nacho's with a lot of ranch dressing were devoured in college as we crammed for our exams... Norms is definitely consistent and this last visit was different. I had a half hour to kill before the next appointment of the day and easily found parking in their abundant parking lot. I sat at the counter and was immediately greeted by Lucy and provide water and a couple menus. Ordered the tuna melt with a side salad and some fries. Salad came out quickly and food followed not too much later. Sandwich was solid and sides were palatable. Lucy was very sweet and kept the water and ranch coming as needed. The rapport with the kitchen staff and wait staff was a hoot to watch at the counter. There are a lot of moving parts to get the meals properly relayed from the kitchen to the servers to the patrons. Ill definitely visit again and if you're looking for a comfortable past time, you'll enjoy your time at Norms.
