  I have never been to a grosser hotel restaurant...usually hotel restaurants are decent. This place was GROSS. Drink glasses were dirty and it took over 10 minutes just for someone to come over to take that order. It was not very busy the time I had gone for dinner (8p.). The nachos we ordered as an app may have been made by a high school kid after school...you could not pull the chips off the plate because the cheese had become so solid. For meals I had the salmon and my husband had Alfredo. The Alfredo was very tangy and had a curdled texture to it. My husband will eat anythind...he had 1 bite. My salmon was DRY and the rice pilaf was very dry and very sticky...im not picky on rice but this just was not good at all. When the waitress came to get oir plates we could tell she knew it wasn't good. The seating isn't too separated from the common area where there were quite a few people sitting in their bathrobes with a talking moose head.

  We have really enjoyed our stay here. Very close and convenient to everything in North Conway. The pools are great along with other amenities. Very nice rooms and overall experience.

  That’s funny. I thought we said no tomato or pickle. Twice. Underlined. Guess what we got? Tomato, pickle, not so fresh bun and a pink “medium well” burger. Oh and I had to pick some black lettuce out of my salad.
  
  The clam chowder was good though! Cup of clam chowder, harvest salad, burger and fries with two bottled lemonades came to about $36

  This is the restaurant inside the North Conway Grand Hotel. 1 of the reasons I chose the hotel was the lovely looking restaurant and tavern on the website. As I was unfamiliar with the area I wanted a nice place for dinner onsite.
  On check-in the woman at the desk explained it was a limited menu right now and the breakfast included was pretty much grab and go.
  I assumed it would still be a decent menu for dinner and the option to purchase a nicer breakfast. I was wrong on both accounts. The restaurant was actually closed at dinner time, the bartender at the tavern offered us a paper menu with scant options, not the work of a nice hotel, more on the line of a mom and pop. We walked out and had to go hunting for a real dinner.
  Breakfast was a paper bag breakfast,literally. No option to buy more for breakfast. Think elementary school.
  The rooms were nice and the movie theater in the basement was a great touch but...paper bag breakfast? For the price, you can do better.

  Stay at this hotel very often but never have dinner here . Made that mistake last night and never will again . Wait staff does not care about you and no one was in the restaurant . Food was bland and they served me an espresso martini that looked curried and the waiter looked at me like I was crazy to send it back . Go to barley and salt for the same money and an absolutely great experience .
