★ 2I understand you have a lack of employees, but if you close early, why do you keep the menus on and no closed sign at the speaker? Love sitting at the speaker for ten minutes for nothing. This is common for the location to do.
Maybe it’s time for the franchisee to pay more for the night shift as both rockland and thomaston closed early. Just wanted a slushy on the way home. -

★ 1May 29, 2026nnCustomer Relations DepartmentnMcDonald’s CorporationnnSubject: Food Safety Complaint and Request for Refund Due to Double ChargennDear Customer Relations Representative,nnI am writing to report a serious food quality issue and a subsequent customer service problem that occurred at the McDonald’s restaurant in Rockland, Maine.
On May 28, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., I purchased food from your Rockland location. While eating my cheeseburger, I discovered a date-coded sticker inside the burger. Finding a foreign object in my food was extremely concerning and unacceptable from a food safety standpoint.
After bringing the matter to the attention of restaurant staff, (I brought the half eaten burger with the date coded sticker in the wrapper to the restaurant manager) I was informed that I would receive a full refund. However, when I checked credit card online she failed to apply credit, the and instead charged me again. As a result, I was charged $15.23 twice.
I am requesting reimbursement for the duplicate charge as well as appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and concern caused by finding a date-coded sticker inside my food. I also ask that this incident be reviewed to ensure proper food preparation and quality control procedures are being followed at this location.
I was not given receipts and unable to provide a copy of that, however can provide additional information if needed, such as screen shot of the online charges to my card. I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution to this matter.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

★ 2Ordered 2 fish, light sauce extra pickle. Got 1 properly made. The other looked like it hand be tossed in the air. Part of the bun was missing and a large hole/ finger impression. Showed manager who rudely told me to throw it away and said you open you throw it away. Another manager brought replacement and tried to accuse me of eating the bad one! Very rude. The replacement was poorly assembled but at least had all its parts.

★ 4So i used the McDonald's app to order mcnuggets in a deal alongside fries and a mcdouble.
The positives - the mcdouble was nicely done and adjusted according to my order request as well as the fries came hot and piping. While I can nit pick how deal fries vs actual fries vary across branches but I always end up regretting ordering a bigger size when my hunger is past. The nuggets were quite dry which afterwards I pointed to the staff who asked if I wanted a new order but I was way beyond full and just told them so that subsequent buyers can get a better product. Plus I didn't want them to discard the nuggets as food waste, which we can all do less of. -

★ 3Typical fast food though it is rarely fast.
More often than not you have to wait. The workers are generally great, there is just never enough of them. It's no longer economical either as I can get a burger, fries and a beer at happy hour at my local pub for the price of most McDonalds burger combo meals.
