  I finally waited in line to try Lou Mitchell’s, a true Chicago classic that’s been around for years, and I can definitely see why it’s so popular.
  
  One thing that really stood out is that everything is made from scratch, from the bread to the jam, which gives the whole experience a homemade, comforting feel. The portions are very generous, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. On top of that, the service was friendly and impressively quick despite how busy it was.
  
  That said, the pancakes personally weren’t my favorite. They weren’t bad, just not something I’d go back specifically for.
  
  Overall, it’s a solid spot with great service and quality food. I’d definitely come back to try more of the menu next time.

  ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️n🤩 We went to this restaurant downtown on a Sunday afternoon and overall it was a solid experience. The place is very much a breakfast spot with a few lunch options mixed in which honestly works in its favor because breakfast food is hard to mess up when it’s done right. Right off the bat the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Service was good throughout and everyone we interacted with had a great attitude which always sets the tone.
  
  Now let’s talk about the seating situation. They sat us right by the door and that turned out to be an experience of its own. Every time someone walked out it felt like the outside world personally checked in on us🥶. Cold air rushed in nonstop and by the end of the meal I felt like I should’ve ordered a blanket with my breakfast. Not the end of the world but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during colder weather.
  
  The food itself was good. Nothing overly fancy just solid well prepared breakfast food that came out hot and tasted fresh. Portions were fair and everyone at the table seemed satisfied with their meals. Drinks were fine and served as expected nothing over the top but no real complaints either.
  
  We had five people total all eating full meals with drinks and after leaving a proper tip the total came out to right around 200 dollars. That’s not cheap but for a downtown spot with good service it wasn’t shocking either.
  
  Would I go back. Yes. I’d just ask for a table away from the door next time. Overall it’s a good breakfast spot with friendly staff and a comfortable vibe worth checking out if you’re downtown. Hopefully this helps someone 🙏

  There was a brief wait, we were seated within five minutes. It's truly a family operated restaurant. All parties must be present and in line before they will offer a table. It helps to look over the menu before seating. Once seated drink orders were taken, served, doughnut hole w/orange, and orders taken within five minutes. This restaurant is a well run operation. The food was served within ten minutes and served hot. We ordered corn beef hash, eggs, and potatoes. The fluffy egg whites, potatoes, and toast. The hash browns are thinly sliced well cooked potatoes served in a heaping pile. We were served four over easy eggs topped on the corned beef.
  
  The orange maramalade is freshly made. It's a great accompaniment for the doughnut hole.
  
  Overall, great dining experience.

  Great place, great people, GREAT food at reasonable prices compared to others. An authentic feel of the 50s/60s close to the route 66. A lady from Dallas with great tattoos looked after us. Thank you. Check opening times and days, absolutely worth a visit! Mark and Mandy UK

  Wasn’t the biggest fan of the breakfast, but those home-fries were the best I ever had. Loved the thin slices of potatoes. They were delicious!! They also give you a small serving of complimentary ice cream after your meal. 😊
