First-time caller, long-time admirer. I’d been wanting to try Culinary Dropout since it opened, and a coworker’s recommendation finally pushed me to go for a Valentine’s lunch with my wife — great choice.

The space feels upscale without being pretentious — beautiful chandeliers, exposed ceilings, roomy booths, and a massive drink selection. The menu isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtful and full of unique options.

Our server was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. We ordered the Two to Mango and Evil Princess cocktails — both looked amazing and packed plenty of flavor (and alcohol). Highly recommend.

I had the skirt steak with fries and homemade ranch, and it instantly reminded me of my go-to at The Garden Table in Carmel — always a good sign.

Overall, great food, great vibes, and a perfect spot for a date. I’ll definitely be back.

Wow!!! What a place!! From the moment I walked in I could tell this restaurant was going to be fantastic. We were greeted by a few people working the host stand, and seated right away. I loved how everyone was wearing what they wanted and it wasn’t just the same uniform. It showed everyone’s own personality!! My sister and I asked for recommendations on drinks and they did not disappoint. She got a playboi stache and I had the dropout classic mule. We also order the soft pretzels and provolone fondue, and wow! The portion of those were huge! Our server Parker was phenomenal!! He gave us recommendations for entrees and my sister got the Mongolian short rib. I got the shrimp tempura crunch. Both were so flavorful and delicious! We also then shared the monkey bread and it was gooey and perfectly paired with vanilla bean ice cream. I also enjoyed the lived musician, he was wonderful too! We will for sure be back soon!!

I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good, but it completely exceeded expectations. The food was amazing, the restaurant was very clean, and the servers were professional, elegant, and attentive without being overbearing. The bar selection and overall atmosphere were excellent, and even the presentation of the plates felt thoughtful and high-end.

The meatloaf and Korean short ribs were absolutely incredible, and the truffle deviled eggs were one of my favorite appetizers I’ve had in a while. The banana dessert was the perfect ending too.

    Definitely coming back again!

Visited on a Tuesday evening. Host stand staff were very welcoming. Decor is beautiful. Lots of cocktails and adult beverages. We tried the whipped feta and tahini dip appetizer and really enjoyed it. The pomegranate seeds, pistachios, and apricot jam added a nice pop. Served with grilled bread. Hubby had the meatloaf and I ordered the pub burger. He raved about the flavor of the meatloaf itself and said would definitely get it again. For me the burger wasn’t as juicy or flavorful as I would have liked. Even though I ordered it medium well, it still should have had more flavor. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. All staff we encountered were wonderful. Did find it odd that they don’t seem to offer any desserts. Overall we will go back to try a couple of other items.

1st timer and the experience was absolutely FABULOUS! Service was top notch, when he talked about the food it was with such passion and genuine happiness. We tried every recommendation he had to share! I forgot to get to get a picture of my food because the whole experience was quite lovely and I thoroughly just enjoyed the ambience and my company! I did get the Crispy Chicken Katsu as my entree, the combination of the soft & fluffy Japanese milk bread w/ the criapy chicken, i will say it is not your typical thin cut for katsu, but still really good! Very filling! And for dessert, the carmelized banana bar, WOW, it was muah! The flavors and textures for this dessert were all on point and absolutely delicious! Fantastic experience overall!
