★ 5This was hands down one of the most memorable meals I’ve had. The cocktails were fantastic, and our server couldn’t have been better—attentive, friendly, and on point all night. It was the perfect stop before heading to the Tame Impala show. The spicy cornbread was an unexpected highlight, and both the Texas red snapper and Baja shrimp tacos were packed with flavor. Everything came together flawlessly, from the food to the service. An all-around exceptional experience.

★ 4Food was great I ordered the chipotle chilaquiles loved the spice balance and combination of flavors. We also ordered steak and eggs which comes with Tartar sauce and potatoes, which is 10 out of 10! Yeah, atmosphere is very calming and nice to look at 👍🏼

★ 3Weekend getaway in Austin, stayed at another hotel but went here for dinner.
Ambience - cool modern vibe, a but dark, but modern. The outside bar on the corner is very good for an afternoon drink., but is usually very crowded. The inside bar stools are horrid…padding is shot, you literally sink down and are resting on the square edges of the seat. The interior bar area is also very loud and echoing, when combined with the music the overall noise level is fairly high, making conversation difficult unless you are sitting right next to someone.
Service - we had reservations through Open Table, but the hostess couldn’t find it. (I later got a message from Open Table saying we didn’t show up…really?). We chose to sit at the bar, our preference. We were quickly given water, and asked if we wanted to order a drink, we asked for both a drink and food menu, service went downhill after that. Lots of bartenders on the very large bar, but had to flag someone down for everything we wanted after that.
Ordered a glass of wine and a beer and food. The wine pour size was large. Ordered the Green chili chicken enchiladas and “Elot” street corn, shared between two of us. The enchiladas were presented nicely, and the sauce was good, but basic cooked chicken inside, not much to rave about. The street corn was very good, crispy corn and tasty sauce. Food portions were large, the two dishes were just right to share. They did bring an extra plate without us asking.
Would I go back…probably not.
Would I recommend…maybe. Would be fun to have a drink outside on the corner bar if you can find a seat. However as far as food, there are lots of other places to try in Austin. -

★ 5I went here on my trip to Austin with my girlfriend. And I must say the food here was delicious along with our fantastic waitress Kenzie! She was amazing to talk to and really educated on the restaurants menu a while being a breath of fresh air to speak to! The dessert is a must try!!!

★ 5Really enjoyed my first visit to Corner in downtown Austin. The cornbread starter is a must - just make sure you ask for extra butter. My friends ordered the wagyu burger and the salmon respectively and both were delicious. I went with the steak which initially came out rare rather than medium rare, so I did have to send it back. The manager handled it graciously, apologized and treated our table to dessert on the house. The peach cobbler with praline ice cream was wonderful - the crust was particularly good and the ice cream was delicious. A solid restaurant with good food and great hospitality.
