The atmosphere of this place is absolutely dreamy and inspiring. Everything and everywhere you look, love is there . Everything has been thoughtfully made and created by Heather and Rick , who are also musicians and artists that curate other musicians to play at their lovely space. It’s called the Green Rocks Amphitheater and really, it’s magical. The Wild Fern it’s a beautiful representation of the power of human creativity and the importance of community places around nature. The pizzas are delicious and made with freshly organic ingredients. If I lived here I’d definitely come often. Loved it with all my heart and spirit!
I watched Billy Wylder under the waxing moon.
Will never forget this place and moment .
Thanks Heather and Rick for creating The Wildfern 🌱🍃 long life for your both

We loved our experience at the Wild Fern!

Go for the experience at the Wild Fern! My friends and I were all thrilled we went as the night wrapped up.

Growing up just outside of New York City has spoiled most in our area, with how good pizza is at home. Whenever we tried pizza while traveling it was typically industrialized, homologized garbage, or spaghetti sauce with store bought mozzarella on a cardboard like dough. My local friend, tried to explain, this was different, and he was going to reach out to the owner to see if they could make a lactose free pizza.

When we pressed our friend about the dinner suggestion, he tried to explain, that’s it’s more than pizza “It’s a true Vermont experience”. He was attempting to describe that you had live music, one sitting for food, and only a small group of people would fit in the restaurant.

While the food was fantastic, and the music was excellent, what made the evening so special was you and the people at the Wild Fern Saturday. You emanate warmth and caring with the welcoming energy of a long lost family member or best friend and it sets the vibe of the Wild Fern. A truly wonderful evening was had by all in attendance. We can’t wait to return on our next trip to Vermont.

⚠️ ⚠️ Wild Fern is not open until 11am on the weekend. The owner, Heather, is a sweet and wonderful woman and doesn't deal much with the internet. I've submitted a change request.

We arrived early, unbeknownst to us. Heather greeted us and let us know that she wasn't open until 11 and that she had to run some bread up the street, but that when she came back we were welcome to come in and sit while she opened.

The exterior/diner/café itself is an artistic expression of who the owner is. We had a long stay here full of conversation with Heather, but had we never spoken a word we still would've known all about her.

Atmosphere and service is world class. The food is made to order and it's completely fresh. Heather is self-taught, but you wouldn't have guessed.

We ordered everything she offered that morning - donuts, waffles, and a bagel sandwich. The coffee was perfect and she's really enthusiastic about her tea selection.

This place is more than breakfast. It's an experience if you're open to it.

Had a pizza before the music started and it was excellent. Ryan Flanders played an opening set and was very entertaining. Rick Redington & Tuff Luv followed Ryan with a great set as always. Heather and Rick were great hosts! Visit the Wild Fern as soon as you can. You won’t be disappointed. Support local music!! Reminder it is BYOB.

What a special place!!! We went for the first time and stumbled upon a hidden treasure!

There was a birthday party in full swing, and we asked if we could have dinner and sure enough, Heather had us at the counter amid the festivities.

Pizza was great. So were the cookies. But that’s not the point. The point is this incredibly warm, inviting, eclectic, cozy place where we felt like we were joining old friends.

    We will surely return!

FYI they are open at 5 pm (not 6) and she doesn’t do brunch anymore (Theresa bakes bagels and breads and you can find at the local shops). Also it’s cash and byob.

And there’s live music often featuring the proprietor herself.
