★ 3We had a little bit of a weird stay at the Inn. The building itself was beautiful and historic and they offered a modest continental breakfast. Our room was clean for the most part but we did not have a shower curtain so water kind of got everywhere. Also, while setting up the portable A/C unit provided, we found an old pair of mens underwear (definitely not ours) behind it in the cabinet where its stored. Good location very walkable to the little downtown area.

★ 5What a great place, especially for the price point!
The inn is quite an old place, but it has plenty of charm.
The room itself was pretty standard, but very roomy. It had a big bed, a sitting room with a desk, and standard bathroom, and a lot of closet space. The windows were big, although mostly viewed the brick residence next door.
The room itself is very warm, even with the heat off. However, there an air conditioner in the room that does the trick to cool it off. It's a little odd to have to run the AC when it's 25°F out, but I think the building just runs warm. And thoughtful by the owners.
The Continental breakfast is quite standard. But it works.
There is a sun room for all guests to share.
I was in between 4 and 5 stars here, but 5 it is! It's convenient to downtown Montpelier; everything is within walking distance. It's 15 minutes from Waterbury, 25 minutes to downtown Stowe, and 30 minutes to Stowe Mountain / Mount Mansfield.
I will be staying here again. -

★ 5convenient location, lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance, rooms were clean and the people were very nice. we didn’t have the breakfast but it was complimentary. only small complaint is that there was a family staying near us and you could hear them walking around up and down the stairs and the kids playing. they were quiet by 9pm and there’s nothing really the hotel can do about that, that’s just the charm of staying in an old building!!!! i didn’t mind really but if you like a quiet stay then i would be cautious of that

★ 5Beautiful traditional Inn that's almost 200 years old. I can see this place being rather toasty in the summer, but it was cozy during winter. Despite being old and having the charm of an old place (uneven floors, etc), the deluxe room was big, the king bed was comfortable and temperature, bathroom, etc were all good. There is also a continental breakfast that was included, starting at 7:30am.
Location is excellent as well, only a few minutes away from several restaurants less than 10min walk from a grocery store.
I only stayed here for one night but definitely see myself coming back, especially since it didn't break the bank. Hope this helps!! -

★ 5We only passed through, but the place was perfect as we headed ski Stowe. Kelly made sure our after hours check-in was without issue. Continental breakfast was better than describe and the coffee was perfectly bold. Will be back!
