My spouse and I stayed at Water Street Tavern and Inn for our anniversary and it was memorable. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome, surprising us with a special dessert. The food was outstanding! We especially loved the perfectly cooked scallops and roasted duck. Everything from the cozy room to the spectacular hospitality made our celebration unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

This restaurant was perhaps the most lovely dining out experience I have had in years. We were backpacking the Bold Coast Trail in Cutler and then staying in Lubec (at the campground down the street, not at this inn!) for a night afterward. It was easy to make a reservation and also easy to reach the restaurant when we wanted to update our reservation. We asked to sit outside, and the staff warned us that it would be chilly because it was October, but they were happy to accommodate. They even saved us seats at the bar in case we needed to come in! Everyone on staff was so friendly and greeted us as we came in. We were seated on the back porch with a glorious view of the water. No one else was out there because of the (mild) chill, so we essentially had a private deck! The view of the sunset from the porch was stunning. Our waiter was so kind and helpful and wonderful. Several staff checked on us throughout the night to make sure we weren’t too cold! We ordered the duck and the scallop pasta dish and they were both incredible. Overall a WONDERFUL experience. Both my boyfriend and I have been talking about this restaurant, how lovely it was, AND how reasonable the prices were since we left. We will be back!!

We had a great dinning experience at the restaurant thanks to our waiter, Bill. He was friendly, professional and engaging. So much so that we had dinner there twice. Bill helped my wife choose the gigantic 2.5 lb lobster, which she thoroughly enjoyed.Higlights included the pear and goat cheese salad, and the fried Haddock. From the restaurant you can get a good view of the bay. Ambiance is lively and welcoming.
A must visit when you are in Lubec 👍👍👍👍

My wife and I recently spent a few nights in Lubec and decided to try the Water Street Tavern and Inn — all I can say is, what a find! The food was absolutely outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly coastal.
On our first night, we were blown away by the seafood pasta — it was unlike anything we’ve ever had, bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly cooked seafood. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next evening, and the experience was even better. This time, we tried the haddock with cranberries — a simple dish, yet so beautifully prepared and flavorful that it left a lasting impression.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe of the place made us feel right at home. If you're staying in Lubec, do yourself a favor and make time for a meal (or two!) at the Water Street Tavern and Inn. Highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful spot to stop and eat. We sat outside and watched the water in hopes to see a seal. Right across is a light house in Canada! The food was delicious! I love the blackberry glaze on my duck! I do recommend calling ahead for a reservation, we got there at the perfect time and didn't end up needing one. We didn't stay and the inn so I'm unsure on how those were.
