★ 5I recently visited The Cap Sill and had a mostly positive experience. The lobster roll was grear, fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. Definitely a must-try for seafood lovers.
The fish tacos were less impressive. They were a bit mushy, which dulled the texture and made the dish feel a little off. With some refinement, they could be much better.
The staff were warm and welcoming, which added a nice personal touch to the visit.
However, service can slow down quite a bit during busy hours, so it’s best to avoid prime dining times if you’re in a hurry. -

★ 5After marrying the love of my life, he asked me to move to Deer Island and I quickly said yes. Before investigating the location and amenities, I found myself on the island in a desperate search for a cappuccino.
And then, The Cap Sill Restaurant opened. It is the newest dining establishment on the island and I could not be more happy! Handcrafted coffees and delectable dishes coupled with an ambience that makes you want to settle in for the night.
We have tried almost everything on the menu and each dish was our new favourite. Paired with the warm and friendly atmosphere, The Cap Sill Restaurant is a destination on Deer Island that rivals anything Saint John has to offer.
Our server pays attention to our every need and treats us like family. Her smile and genuine kindness makes the entire experience an absolute joy.
Try anything on the menu. It is all amazing. If you still need a suggestion, try the braised beef or fish and chips. Both will leave you wanting to come back. And, if you are a coffee connoisseur, try to the Winter Warmer cappuccino. -

★ 5Fantastic spot for fresh, local seafood. We stopped in for lunch and were really impressed by the freshness and quality of the seafood. The lobster rolls were absolutely delicious—loaded with tender lobster and just the right amount of seasoning. They also offer gluten-free rolls, which was a much-appreciated option. You can tell everything is sourced locally and made with care. The restaurant is a clean, casual, open space with a friendly, local vibe. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients and the care in preparation. If you’re visiting Deer Island, this spot is a must for anyone who loves great seafood!
