I got the lobster rolls and they were pretty good, but the stand out was actually the rack of ribs my husband ordered. The sauce was a perfect mix of sweet and tangy. They did seem to be short staffed but our waitress did the best she could. She was super friendly.

Waited over an hour for our food, a salad and meatloaf. Got sat behind a wall in a hall area, so nothing to look at besides cars passing by. Waitress was the best thing about this restaurant. She was friendly and had a great smile!Had wanted to stop in for years cause was always packed but it was very disappointing.

Amazing experience at the Blackhorse Tavern. I took my fiancé here for a date night. We started with the teriyaki smoked wings, delicious. And I got the southwest Cajun burger, and she got the steak tips over red mashed potatoes. They were both unbelievable, and our waitress was very accommodating and timely. This was our first time here we are definitely going to come back and try something else.

I’ve been here once a couple years ago and had a great experience all around, they also were blue to accommodate a party of 16.

This time around we were there with a party of 4, waited an hour to be seated. This wasn’t a big deal as it was a Saturday night and we waited by the bar and the bartender was awesome.

When we got sat we waited 15 minutes for our waitress Susanne to come to the table (off to a bad start) she came to the table in the weirdest way, her head was down then as she lifted it up she said hey what’s up. Which we thought was weird but we tried to shrug it off.

We ordered our appetizers and drinks which came out shortly and were good, also ordered our food while the apps were showing up. At this point we realized we were getting an attitude from Suzanne and were confused as to why but figured maybe she was supposed to be cut, we didn’t want to let it change the experience so we tried it ignore it.

We waited for another hour with no food and the waitress was no where to be found, we grabbed someone passing by and asked about our food. 5 minutes later someone from the kitchen came out and said they ran out of my wife’s pot roast, while we were shocked it took an hour for them to tell us this we ordered an alternative.

My wife’s alternative meal was a lobster roll which came out 15 mins later (still no food for the rest of us) i made a comment to the person bringing the food out about the rest of our food incase she didn’t know and our food came out about 5 minutes later.

Suddenly our waitress showed up again with seemingly a new attitude, while eating my meal she dropped the bill on the table… at this point I’m getting quite aggravated and asked if we’re not allowed to see the desert menu? She then said yes and brought the desert menu out and we ordered.

    Conclusion:
We were at this restaurant for 3.5 hours and although the food was decent the waitress Suzanne and communication was horrendous. We didn’t feel welcome through the entire process and whatever her issue was shouldn’t be taken out on your customers.

We had the most delicious food on New Year’s Eve!! The best tasting tender steak tips I have ever had!! My husband had Seafood Platter that was excellent. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable and our waitress was lovely. We will be back for another Five star experience!!
