★ 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️nWe were driving home from a family Thanksgiving gathering in Maine and called Pine at the Hanover Inn to see if they could squeeze in two hungry travelers for an early dinner. They couldn’t have been more gracious. They held a cozy table for two—one that was reserved later in the evening—letting us dine with the understanding we’d finish by 6:30. We happily agreed.
From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was genuinely excellent, and the food… absolutely fantastic. It ended up being our unexpected “second Thanksgiving dinner” of the day, and what a treat it was.
We’re so glad we stopped, and we’ll definitely be returning. An exceptional dining experience! -

★ 3The food was a mixed bag. I got the steak frites and while the food looked good, and the fries tasted delicious, the steak was undercooked. I ordered it medium and some pieces were basically purple in the center. My colleague ordered the Day in Milan and was skeptical about the chicken's doneness, though I did not see it myself. The weirdest part was that at one point, one of my colleagues spilled their water in my lap and all over the table. Since cloth napkins only absorb so much, someone asked a waitress for some paper napkins or towels. She just waved him off and he had to go grab cocktail napkins from the bar... so weird! Considering the price point, the food and service was not as good as what I would expect.

★ 5Visited Pine on a busy Saturday night, and had the most incredible experience! The host Emilee was so friendly and very knowledgeable, and had reserved a great table. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays as well. John provided incredible service and conversation, making me feel like a VIP. The poached pear and fried chèvre salad (add salmon) was exquisite, one of the best salads I’ve ever had, and the truffle fries with the roasted tomato aioli were delicious as well. 10’s across the board and I will definitely be returning!

★ 5Loved this place. Went for brunch and ordered the fruit/scone and Sichuan green bean dishes. The fruit plate was a bit overpriced given the amount of fruit it included. But the scone was absolutely delicious. The Sichuan green beans dish w/noodles was amazing. I got the chili oil on the side and forgot to add it lol but the dish was great without it. I wish I had taken a picture because I couldn't find any pictures of it when I was looking and wasn't sure what to expect. But I highly recommend it.

★ 5Restaurant OWNERS, TAKE NOTE 😁nI’m coming from Serbia. I’ve traveled across half of Europe and visited many cities in the U.S., and I can honestly say there aren’t enough stars here to rate the staff — especially Meryll, who was incredibly attentive and kind. I have a specific diet, and she did everything to make sure I could enjoy the food (I’m thrilled). The food is excellent, and the ambiance is beautiful 😁
