  Moe Joe's Family Restaurant in Manchester, NH for a few pints & a double cheeseburger. In a search for the best burger around my area I found myself checking out this place for lunch on a weekday. I pass this place here & there when I'm in Manchester so I figured I'd see what they had for beer on tap & not expecting much, was pleasantly surprised. They had a handful of different draft lines around the large bar which covered the entire restaurant area. There was a lot of styles offered here with some of the usual suspects like the IPA from Stoneface Brewing Co., WINNI ALE Red Ale from 603 Brewery, BOSTON LAGER from Samuel Adams, the 60 MINUTE IPA from Dogfish Head & more. I was only able to get one new beer to check out, but I got a couple New England staples as well. 🍻🍺🎅🎄❄nnI started off with a pint of the IPA from Great North Aleworks, which I have been enjoying off & on for the best part of a decade now when I see it on tap. My second pint was one of my favorites to grab anywhere I see it on draft, FIDDLEHEAD IPA from Fiddlehead Brewing Company. If there's not a ton of new options at a pub I'm visiting, you damn right I'm probably grabbing a FIDDLEHEAD IPA on draft if it's available. My last pint was the NEW ENGLAND JUICY IPA from Sam Adams, it was good, really hazy & definitely juicy as advertised. 🍻🍻🔥❄🎅nnI hit up the Double Cheeseburger with fries on the special menu for $8.99 & it was well worth it. The burgers were a little dry, but for that price it was a minor complaint, I just tossed a little ketchup on. The dining room area was really busy so unfortunately I couldn't get a good amount of pics, but I got enough of the bar & lounge area. All the usual seating options here including tables, hightops & a large bar that wraps around the entire restaurant. There was a full bar, but I had tequila at home so I stuck to beers. Overall worth checking out for sure & I guess they do breakfast as well daily opening early.   Great local place. Went for breakfast while visiting. They must have been short on both servers and cooks because the wait to get seated, even though tables were empty, and the wait to order, and the wait to receive our food were all VERY long. In fact, so long we almost left. The food was fine, not fantastic. Sounds like a bad review but I really liked the place. Love local and they’re trying. Kinda retro, pretty friendly. Good spot. Just have plenty of time.

  I haven’t been here in years. Decided to take my parents here for Mother’s Day since it would bring back some good memories of coming here when I was little. Made reservations for an 11am brunch. Nothing crazy, just 5 people.
  
  Well. We arrived early at 10:50 and were not seated until 11:40 and didn’t receive our food until 12:40. Completely unacceptable for someone who made reservations. We also saw four families leave before they were seated and one family leave after they ordered. To be clear, this is not the employees fault. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and currently work in the large event industry. This was very VERY clearly a horrible management/ownership issue. They had very little staff on a major holiday, our server warned us there wasn’t enough people in the kitchen and the hostess warned walk ins that he wasn’t sure if he’d actually be able to seat them.
  
  Customer advice, I would recommend you call ahead before showing up and just completely avoid major holidays. There are other restaurants in and around Manchester that operate much smoother than this.
  
  My advice for management/ownership. Paying more = more job applicants = more available employees for holidays = faster service = more customers = more money AND happy customers (and a cleaner restaurant).

  I didn't have high expectations for this place, but it was the only restaurant available at 1:00 for four people. Unfortunately, it did not disappoint in the wrong way.
  
  The experience started poorly with an unusually long wait just to be seated. Although the restaurant wasn't crowded during the 2 hours we were there, it took almost 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and only after we flagged our server down.
  
  The drinks were good but the food fell short. Two chowders arrived cold, not lukewarm but cold and had to be sent back. The rack of ribs was room temperature. The two prime ribs were okay though the sides were hotter than the main dishes.
  
  After the meals were served, we asked for rolls for the table. Our server returned with only two for four people explaining that those were the only warm ones available. Well two people didn't want any that wasn't really the point.
  
  Overall, for $300, the experience simply wasn't good. It's puzzling, especially since this isn't your first holiday service, so it's unclear why the food was so mediocre. Except the carrot cake, got a slice to go and that was delicious!

  The exterior is cute if not a little weathered. The entrance might be lackluster but the dining hall is old fashioned and homie while maintaining a clean environment. Our server was warm and attentive there is a small outdoor seating but it was too cold for us to go out. But the real deal here is the FOOD FOOD FOOD! Great prices on delicious burgers and fries served hot! Service and quality couldn’t ask for more. Thanks to the kitchen crew and service staff for an excellent small town experience.
