  Ordered through a delivery service, the hash browns were so oily that one bite had grease shoot into my throat, the chicken was heavily burned but fries undercooked & have a weird aftertaste that tells me they don’t change their oil. Since they didn’t even start cooking until the driver got there, it’s a testament to their lack of quality & care. As a chef, with the quality they’re comfortable showing customers, I have to question their hygiene practices customers can’t see.

  I’m really disappointed with my experience at Waverly Deli. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich, and the tuna was sour and clearly spoiled. It was completely inedible and honestly concerning to be served something like that.
  What made the situation worse was observing poor food-safety practices. Staff were using their phones while wearing gloves and then continuing to prepare food without changing those gloves. I also noticed gloves not being changed between tasks, which is a serious hygiene issue.
  When concerns were raised, the attitude from staff was dismissive and unprofessional, as if food safety and customer health were not a priority.
  Between the spoiled tuna, lack of basic sanitation, and poor customer service, I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other places that take cleanliness and food quality seriously.

  Sausage egg and cheese was good. BLT on hero not so much. They are very generous with the bacon which is awesome because most places give you like 2 pieces but there was no lettuce and tomato which to me makes the whole sandwich. Had to go home and add my own lettuce. That was a bummer.

  I used to order from this local deli a lot but I have not been happy recently. The online ordering feature is great. I paid two dollars for a hash brown patty which was given to me in pieces and full of oil. I wanted to start eating my breakfast sandwich while returning home but it was not cut which I’ve never seen a bagel sandwich not cut before. The bagel my sandwich was on was just OK. Prices are fair.

  We moved here a few months ago and this was one of the first spots I ate. We’ve been consistent customers until recently when I bit into a bunch of dirt that was in my omelette. My food today was half the size, double the price, and obviously not washed! I am 5 months pregnant and that is very risky so I cannot eat here anymore. Anyone can get very sick from unwashed food, that’s contamination! Threw half of it up and away.. definitely not seasonings :X
