If you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience in Little Rock, look no further than The Spot SoMa. This Black-owned gem in the heart of the SoMa district offers a five-star experience from start to finish. The owner personally greeted us, took time to serve us and even let us sample different dishes—talk about hospitality!

The vibe? Impeccable. Great music, an inviting atmosphere, and an energy that makes you feel part of something special. Every bite of food was flavorful and memorable—no filler, just thoughtful dishes made with care. Even better, the owner showed up in the mix, making sure everything was perfect and that we felt truly welcomed.

If you want to support a local business, immerse yourself in a warm, intentional dining setting, and savor food that lives up to the hype—The Spot SoMa is the place. Highly recommend it for brunch, lunch, or any time you’re ready for something genuinely special.

The service was great, atmosphere was calm and the food was amazing! My family and I visited this place for brunch and everyone enjoyed their meal ( thats rare)! I ordered The Jules waffle with tenders (see photo) the waffle wasn’t dry, the cookie butter I LOVED!!!!! I also ordered the October cocktail of the month for breast cancer it was also good. For a family of 3 we spent $70 with 2 adult drinks. Also the parking wasn’t bad we parked across the street..My family and I will most definitely be returning!

The food is some of the worst I have ever eaten. Both me and my partner left it uneaten and went somewhere else to fill up. Go to waffle house if you want better. And $18 for a waffle square and 4 tiny frozen wings is ridiculous. And $10 a for a side loaded fries? The place is beautiful. The food not so much

The staff was not very knowledgeable about the ingredients in some of the menu items. When I asked the cashier about one item, she said, “I just serve the food, I don’t know what’s in it.” Bless her heart — she was polite, but it would have been helpful if someone could explain the menu.

We ordered the loaded mac and cheese, but it had a very strong, aged cheese flavor — almost like blue cheese — and it was unfortunately inedible for me. The chicken on top was ok.

Another issue was the amount of smoke inside the restaurant. There didn’t seem to be much ventilation, and the air was very smoky. I had to go home and change clothes afterward because the smell stuck to everything.

Not long after eating, I ended up getting sick. I’m not sure whether it was the food or the heavy smoke in the air, but it made the experience disappointing overall, especially considering the price.

The layout and esthetics of the restaurant were cool. Loved the couch!

Maybe breakfast is better, and I hope that’s the case. I was just disappointed with this particular visit.
