My husband stopped here on a whim and brought it home. I have heard excellent things about The Lunch Box for years. We shared the turkey sandwich and Buffalo chicken wrap.

While eating the sandwich, I couldn't identify any flavors besides the pickled red onion and obviously the turkey. There was one single piece of green leaf lettuce and a slice of tasteless cheddar that wasn't big enough for the bun. The amount of turkey was ok, but with so few other toppings the bun was overwhelming.

I had to look up the description of the sandwich because my husband forgot what it had said and we couldn't identify anything unique. Plus, the proportions were so off I assumed they had forgotten to include something. I can see why he chose it, the description on the menu sounded thoughtfully composed. It says: turkey, cheddar, chipotle-bacon mayo, pickled red onions, & mixed greens on a house-made brioche bun, $13.

Technically that's an accurate description, except for the mixed greens. But neither of us could taste chipotle or bacon in the mayo, it added nothing. So this is definitely not a sandwich I would order again and it makes me skeptical of the rest of the menu.

I understand that they're making the buns in-house and I appreciate that immensely. But, they aren't that great for housemade fresh bread. They taste like grocery store bakery buns. They could be so much better. It feels like a missed opportunity.

The buffalo chicken wrap was good, not great or anything...but it had a big hunk of lettuce core in it. I found it surprising that the cook didn't notice grabbing a large chunk of core when the wrap doesn't have a lot of lettuce in it. It's not like they were grabbing giant handfuls and missed it, which would be understandable.

These are corner store quality items with cute cafe prices.

So all in all...I don't get it and we won't be back.

The food here is so good, but recently they've had these little chocolate mini cakes with either espresso or peanut butter icing.. SOOOOOO good!!!! Incredibly moist and very rich in flavor!

    Plus they're gluten-free and vegan.

Ordered online and walked a couple of streets over to pick up. Got the bag with my receipt stapled shut to it only to get back to my building to notice that there was a different receipt stapled to the inside of the bag and it was not my order. Walked back again in cold weather just to get my correct order. Not impressed. $16 for a grilled cheese and soup and that’s with a coupon. $1 ordering fee for ordering online pickup. Was going to get a cookie but the ones sitting out on the counter had small flies around them. Can’t say anyone there was very personable either. Just overall a bad experience and won’t be returning.

Excellent, fresh food and generous portions. I love coming here for lunch because the service is fast and friendly and the salads and sandwiches are delicious. Fantastic baked goods too!

Truly one of the best places to eat, meet, hang out, have a coffee, or any other type of beverage. Have been an avid customer of TLB for many years now and REALLY loving the new updates to their brand, their new location, new offerings and more. The owners are incredible people - a husband / wife duo - they’re building The Lunch Box properly by giving back to the community, offering clean eats, with the additions of the classic delicious comfort foods. Can’t say enough about the Team at The Lunch Box! Congrats on everything - here’s to many more years of success!
