★ 5Exceeded our expectations! The atmosphere is amazing! Our waitress was Madison and talk about detail oriented. She truly made our first visit spectacular! She asked if we have any allergies, which as someone with allergies that was very appreciated. We got the meatballs appetizer, so tender and flavorful! The salad was so good and fresh too. Main courses were, the diane steak (two steak medallions...incredibly tender), ravioli with chicken added, everything was top notch! We finished off with the buttermilk cake and it was sweet and fresh. Such a great experience, we cant wait to go back!

★ 3This place is very unique. My boss and I went there for dinner and obviously it’s inside of a church. The artwork on the ceiling and arches are the entirety of the book “The Art of War”. Very unique. The staff was extremely attentive and very warm and welcoming. To start we got the oysters and the tuna tartare. Both were pretty great. I like the oysters more than the tuna tartare. For an entrée, I got the salmon and my boss got the fried chicken. We should’ve brought a massive appetite because the serving sizes are extremely generous. Overall, the food was good. I wouldn’t say it was great, but definitely something to experience while you’re in Charleston. We only had one mild issue, but we discussed it with the waiter and he offered what help he could

★ 5Had an wonderful first visit to Church and Union Charleston. Came here for brunch with our young family. Very accommodating for families and we had a lovely large booth in the corner to keep all the children corralled. I made a note in the reservation which they were able to accommodate this request. LovelynnThe service was wonderful, the food was well portioned, and fresh and very tasteful. We’d rather enjoy our experience and we’ll be glad to be back.
As a sidenote, they offer a 25% discount for military. This is very gracious and much appreciated for those who have served our great country. -

★ 5Sunday brunch here was a win all around. The coffee and scones were spot-on, the French toast was perfectly indulgent, and the hot honey chicken sandwich struck that ideal balance of sweet, spicy, and savory. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the building itself is stunning—one of those spaces that makes you want to linger a little longer. A great place to settle in for a relaxed, memorable brunch.

★ 5This restaurant is awesome. It’s set in an old church, which gives it a unique feel. The service was fast, the environment was great, and the food was excellent.
The only downside for me was the 5% added to the bill for the kitchen. I think that’s a bit unnecessary. It would be better to just raise the prices by 5% so people can still leave a full tip. I usually tip 20%, but this time I did 15% because of that.
Overall, still a great place to visit if you’re in Charleston, SC. I didn’t think it was overly expensive either, about $150 for five people. @reviewsbypablo
