I went for lunch with a coworker and was disappointed by the service. My coworker asked for a soda. The server left to get the beverage without asking if I wanted anything. I've never experienced a server doing anything like that. How do you only acknowledge one person at a table? She came back to say they were out of soda but had apple juice. If I'm coming out for a meal, it would be nice if my only beverage choices weren't apple juice or tap water. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was okay. I may have enjoyed it more if I was treated like a paying customer.

Love this place! The owner Will and I shared a neat moment the first time I visited. When he sat us at table 2, he said 2 at 2. 22 is a number for my mom. I had other synchronicities with my mom during this trip. He also had the number 11.11 on a receipt he just got and pulled out of his pocket and shared it with me. If you know you know. Love the vibe here. Feels like home. Food was great and so is the music in the background!

I had the chance to check out the new Werner’s Diner for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and honestly, it exceeded my expectations every time.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, clean, and welcoming. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Service was quick without feeling rushed, which is a big plus when you’re dining with family or kids.

Breakfast was a standout. The portions were generous, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs seasoned just right, and the home fries had that crispy outside and soft inside balance that’s hard to find. It felt like classic comfort food done right.

Lunch didn’t disappoint either. The sandwiches were stacked, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, and the sides were just as good as the main dish — especially the fries, which were hot and crispy.

Dinner sealed the deal for me. The meals were hearty, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being overly greasy. You can tell care goes into the cooking, and the portion sizes definitely give you your money’s worth.

Overall, Werner’s Diner is the kind of place you can rely on any time of day — whether you want a quick bite, a family meal, or some good comfort food. Great service, solid prices, generous portions, and consistently good food make this spot a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back and recommending it to others.

I had a really good experience at this new diner near the Inner Harbor. Very professional. Clean & Welcoming. The food was delicious and freshly made.

I must add my partner forget his phone on the table and when we returned 30 minutes later, staff was holding it for us.

Yes this is now our go to spot whenever we're in town.

    Thank you Werner's Diner.
We're rooting for you to have a Blessed and Successful business.

Went early afternoon on a weekend for breakfast. They were out of both bacon and turkey bacon, so I got fruit as the side instead. They tried charging extra for this, at least they fixed after I pointed it out.

But they ruined the pancakes by drowning them in syrup and making them a soggy sugary mess. Just put the syrup and butter on the side like everyone else does !!

Service was not great either, it was like being served by zombies who could not even correctly answer a basic question I had about the menu.
