★ 5One of my very favorite restaurants in the city. The only place in LA I am able to find Cevapi -we always order the large portion with Kajmac and Ajvar. The mixed salad is always wonderfully fresh. It was our first time trying the grilled veggie sandwich and we loved it. The server working there is very kind and attentive and they also have a cut little store full of Balkan specialty food items.

★ 4Aroma Café is a small, family-owned Mediterranean café in West Los Angeles that has been part of the local community since 2004. The place has a cozy, almost European feel, with a small outdoor terrace that makes you forget for a moment that you’re in LA.
The food is Mediterranean-style, simple and homey rather than fancy. Portions are medium-sized, and the average check is around $25–30 per person. The dishes don’t try to impress with presentation or complex flavors, but they feel fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and comforting — like homemade food, which is exactly what makes this place charming.
You can really feel that everything is made to order, whether it’s coffee or a salad, which adds to the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Another nice and unexpected detail is a small section inside the café where you can find products from Bosnia, giving the place even more character and authenticity.
Overall, Aroma Café is about atmosphere, warmth, and a sense of simplicity rather than culinary surprises. It’s a lovely spot if you’re in the mood for something casual, cozy, and genuinely local.
Overall rating: 4 out of 5nThere are a few minor imperfections, but they don’t take away from the overall experience. -

★ 1The $20 shish kebab (plate) wasn't flavorful, the small portion left me quite hungry which added to my overall disappointment. My wife felt the same with the chicken kebab plate.

★ 5service was great. ❤️ The guy at the front is very attentive and kind. We really enjoyed the Kebapi, apple dessert, baklava and Turkish coffee. There is also a variety of Ajvar and other Mediterranean/balkan foods available.

★ 5Best food in Los Angeles if you like Turkish influenced food or grew up in Balkans area of South Eastern Europe. Balkan Burger (Chevapi) headlines the show and Sarma (minced meat wrapped in cabbage) is the next star. They also have Greek souvlaki (if Im not mistaken) and make regular, American style sandwiches and salads. All in all, good place for a family lunch or dinner.
