Friends and I popped in for an early breakfast before hitting the Eastern Market. Zeff's Coney Island is a long-standing, family-owned American diner in Detroit's Eastern Market with an old-school diner vibe, known for its homestyle cooking and signature dishes. Our server was fun, fast, and friendly. They offer a wide variety of omelets, including a popular Farmers Omelet with hash browns inside and a House Omelet with various meats. A couple of us ordered both the corned beef and pastrami hash. It was incredible; however, we could only eat about a third of this enormous portion. Highly recommend Zeff's Coney Island and looking forward to returning.

This was my first time at Zeffs.i was headed downtown to Jury duty and needed breakfast. It was 6:30 am. The employees were so pleasant early in the morning which was a plus. The other patrons were a morning delight. The food was delicious and tasty. The wait wasn't long at all 😁. The outside of the restaurant was clean. The inside was clean and inviting. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat... especially early in the morning.

the quality of the hotdog and the pastrami meat was amazing. It definitely could’ve benefited from seasoning, but was a seven out of 10 for me. Everyone in the restaurant was polite, and it was a good atmosphere with the exception of my waitress who found herself very concerned with me tipping the busier advising me she is the waitress as if I did not leave her a tip too.

Zeff’s is a respectable Coney Island. Most of our meals on a Sunday Brunch on Lions game day were on point. Coneys always good. Bacon pitas were fair. Chicken Swarma was not as tasty as preferred. Stick with the classics is our opinion. Will likely go again as it is near Sunday Church.

Old school diner with great service and plenty of menu options. Seating was a little tight. We were in a booth and heard the entire conversation on both sides. Food itself was good - everybody got what they wanted - a Coney, a Greek salad with chicken, etc. Seemed like a nice neighborhood place and worth the short walk from Eastern Market.
