Minus 1 star for awful online ordering system which changed the pickup location. I expected to not get charged for the restaurant website mistake after I demonstrated it was working incorrectly so I paid double for a bacon breakfast burrito.

The burrito was excellent except it did not have enough egg for a breakfast burrito. It maybe had one egg. It should definitely have 2 eggs. Not the best bfast burrito in LA , but really good, but also very small and not enough egg.

Kind of disappointing first time experience since I paid double for already too expensive burrito due to a still malfunctioning website. Not sure if I’ll return. Doesn’t live up to the hype. So close, but Minus 1 star for barely any egg. It’s basically a tater tot burrito that’s wrapped really well. The cilantro sauce is great but almost no egg in a breakfast burrito. Much better local non chain options with 2-3 eggs for breakfast and larger portions for less $.

The ladies were very friendly inside the store.

The saltiest burrito I have ever had.
No eggs all hashbrowns the bacon was burnt. You're given a huge box for a small burrito. I spent 18 dollars and change only to throw a burrito away..

I’m just in West Hollywood for the weekend, but I’m glad I found Wake and Late.

I ordered the breakfast burrito and added the Juárez out of curiosity. The breakfast burrito is the move. Crispy tots and bacon that actually stay crisp, avocado that’s perfectly ripe without turning to mush, and a tortilla toasted just enough to hold everything together. It looked good right out of the wrapper and ate clean the whole way through.

The Juárez was simple, basically beans and cheese, with onions, sour cream, and green chiles on the side. It’s straightforward but satisfying, especially if you like building the bites yourself with a little heat and creaminess. It felt like a solid, no frills option next to the heavier burrito.

If I lived here, I’d come back. For a quick weekend stop, it hit exactly right.

Wake and Lake is honestly way too overhyped for what it offers. The burrito was surprisingly tiny for nearly $12, and what really caught me off guard was that basic ingredients like meat and beans were not even included by default — you have to pay extra for most of the fillings. For that price, I expected something much more substantial and satisfying. The food itself was fine, nothing terrible, but definitely nothing memorable either. Overall, it felt overpriced and underwhelming, and I probably wouldn’t come back.

Not worth the hype. If I’m paying $17 for a breakfast burrito, I should be getting a burrito bigger than my hand. Espresso is ok, not the best. Should not be charging this much for a small coffee using a glorified nesspresso machine. Staff was nice and sauces were good, but that’s all that’s going for them. Mediocre at best, will not be coming again.
