★ 5Another home run by the owners of Fonda San Miguel next door, this may be our new favorite brunch spot. The atmosphere and menu transport you to the best interior Mexican experience. The offerings are outstanding with delicious twists on dishes like Huevos Rancheros and traditional baked goods. Stunning interior and outdoor seating with loads of parking. Very tranquil. A real jewel of a restaurant!

★ 5The food was incredible. Probably the best verde chilaquiles I’ve had in a while! Also very delicious pan dulce conchas, I couldn’t believe it. So incredible! Space is immaculate and the staff is so professional, kind, and attentive. Will definitely be back. Thanks for a great lunch service!

★ 5Been waiting on this place to open up- so excited it has!! We went on a whim on Valentine's Day morning and put on list for an hour- to be expected. We grabbed a latte and Iced Tea and sat outside. We were seated inside (most of outside not seated due to weather- will be back for the patio for sure). Ordered the tacos for an appetizer and Huevos Rancheros and Enfrijoladas. All were fantastic- the Enfrijoladas are very rich- just as a note to note. I do wish they had drip coffee but the latte was great. The hostess was very friendly as were the people taking drink orders and the pastries were flying out the door as fast as they could make them. We will be back to try those for sure. Loved the art and the atmosphere.

★ 5I love it here! The food is great, beautiful indoor and outdoor space, and the service was great. The chocolate conchas and chilaquiles are great. The seasonal menu is also delicious! And their lattes are also so delicious

★ 5Austin just got a whole lot more delicious. Tzintzuntzan (say it with me: zin-zoon-zan) is the upscale Mexican brunchería, lonchería, and panadería that North Loop has been waiting for, and it delivers.
If you’re already a devotee of Fonda San Miguel next door, you’ll feel instantly at home, both restaurants share the same ownership, and that lineage of excellence shows in every detail. What’s new and wonderfully convenient is that the two restaurants now share parking, which makes the whole experience feel seamlessly welcoming from the moment you arrive. No more circling the block.
The brunch menu is the real star. Each dish reflects a genuine respect for regional Mexican cuisine, vibrant, thoughtfully prepared, and deeply satisfying. The kind of food that makes you slow down and actually pay attention to what you’re eating. But don’t overlook the panadería. The freshly baked pastries are outstanding, perfectly crafted and just as impressive as anything on the savory menu. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and a pastry from the to-go window or settling in for a full brunch, you’re in for something special.
The staff rounds out the entire experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, they make you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
Tzintzuntzan is a worthy complement to one of Austin’s most beloved restaurants. Together, these two make North Loop a true dining destination.
