★ 4Shout out to Nicole because she absolutely slays!!!! Kelly also made me feel right at home. This is my favorite hotel in Kansas City because the staff is so awesome! The cocktails and shooters are mixed with perfection and served with enthusiasm. The food is fresh and delicious. You can’t beat the happy hour specials, either. I love coming down to the lobby because the bartenders feel like friends, there’s always a friendly conversation to join, and the music selection is upbeat.

★ 5I am visiting KC from New Orleans. This restaurant is inside the Holiday Inn Hotel. Entry requires a hotel key card. If you don’t have one, no worries, there’s a phone nearby. I chose to sit at the bar where Javad and Phoebe assisted me. They were attentive, friendly and gave quality service! Javad made one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had!!! I ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs over medium and potatoes. The food came out hot and didn’t require extra salt or pepper. If you’re ever in the area, stop by Toast to Toast. You won’t regret it.

★ 5Phoebee was her name … and crap, what was the chef’s name again? Jen. Pretty sure it was Jen. Well, if I screwed this up, apologies to the chef named something other than Jen.
Alright, time to listen up. Clean food in the American hotel network is as rare as a three-dollar bill. Usually, you’re staring down Goodyear eggs—rubbery, overinflated, and designed to bounce off a plate—and tire track bacon strips that strip the treads off your taste buds.
But not here.
Because somehow, against all odds, we stumbled upon the national treasure that is the Holiday Inn Kansas City Downtown breakfast buffet.
And can you believe we made it on the inaugural day? I shit you not. The sun does shine on a farmer’s ass when the stars align. If you’re ever in Kansas City and need to straighten out your digestive bits, stop and see Phoebe and ol’ what’s-her-name at the breakfast buffet.
No need to thank me. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. -

★ 5Beautiful bar and great attentive staff. Javad said he’d make me the best espresso martini I’ve ever had and he did not disappoint!
