★ 4Toast Cafe & Grill is a cozy brunch spot located in Willow Glen with a nice and variety filled menu. Located in a shopping center it was easy to find parking and although it was busy we were able to find seating for 4 relatively quickly. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining which is nice. We opted for outdoor seating and they have heating lamps around to make the experience more comfortable. The restaurant is clean and has a nice vibe to it so we were very optimistic about our experience and we ordered pretty quickly.
We ordered green chilaquiles with coffee and old fashioned pancakes plus bacon and hashbrowns with chocolate milk. The waiter also pointed out that by comboing everything it would be cheaper which ended up saving us some money on he order. Our food did take quite a bit of time to come and they forgot one of our dishes as well which was unfortunate because everything up until that point had been smooth. When all the food finally arrived we all dug in and the results were a bit mixed. The green chilaquiles were okay, nothing about them really stood out and we felt like it was a dish you could’ve eaten just about anywhere, i.e. it was nothing to write home about. Likewise, the pancakes were just okay. They were a bit too soft and doughy and that’s coming from people who like their pancakes on the doughier side. Ironically, on the other side of the table our friends ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes which were much, much better and we wish we had gotten that because it was a hit all around. -

★ 5First time eating here and I loved my meal. I ordered the chorizo skillet with two eggs, and the whole dish was really flavorful. It came with pico de gallo, fresh avocado, and everything tasted good and well-seasoned. I had a coffee, which was just okay, but my friend ordered the Dubai chocolate matcha and absolutely loved it.
We were here with a large group, and the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. I'd definitely go back. Bonus: parking is pretty easy! -

★ 3I give it an overall rating of 3.5. Google doesn’t allow half stars so sticking with the three stars instead. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated, then waited 10 minutes for our orders to be taken, and finally almost 35 minutes for our food to arrive. That is a long time to waitnnOur waiter wasn’t a friendliest. It looked like they were understaffed when we had lunch. Perhaps that’s the reason he was grumpy. Then again I appreciate good service and usually base my tip on service rather than food because it’s not a waiter’s fault when the food is not good.
The place seems nice. I may come back, but not likely. -

★ 5Simply outstanding! The skillets and scrambles are great, and the Chilaquiles Molcajete was unbelievable! Red chilaquiles, panela cheese, cactus, jalapenos, chorizo, and cambray onions...topped with two eggs, red onions, and cilantro, over hash browns or country potatoes. There a couple of other Molcajete dishes, as well. The selection of eggs benedict was impressive. Service was great! Everything was super fresh and super tasty. Hugh portions.
