★ 5Hidden gem worth driving to. New owner bought this place a year ago. Phenomenal menu. Quiet town. Pool tables are a bonus. I didn’t expect it to be so unique. Definitely don’t judge a book by the cover is the summary here. Met the owner and he’s legit chef minded. Give this place a try or choke on some lame chain restaurant food if you’re afraid to support a local business owner with delicious food and great beer. 😎

★ 5Went to the Forge for the first time since the change up. I had a martini and Steak Tips that were perfectly temperatured and tender. They sat on top of ribboned carrots and mash potatoes and topped with a honey garlic glaze. Not overly sweet or savory, just right. Staff was super great! Pool is always free and the weekly events are coming along just fine! Menu is great. $1 wings I believe on Wednesdays and half off burgers every Sunday. They also have a menu of $5 beers, so you can get a taste of a variety of Vermont and domestic beers.

★ 4I stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a place to eat as I was passing through town. The restaurant itself has a fun juxtaposition of a quiet, elegant dining room when you first enter; and a lively, yet relaxed atmosphere when you make your way towards the bar area. Both seem great. First and foremost, the service was excellent. The staff were always on top of everything to ensure that my dining experience there was the best it could be. They happily answered any of my questions, and if they didn't know, they found out. The menu was limited, which I enjoyed. And I ended up going with the suggestion that my server made, which was the Salmon with a red pepper coulis, served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The presentation of the dish was perfect. I was very impressed when it came out, but on my first bite I was a little disappointed by the fish. The salmon had a perfect crust, but was over salted. However, it was balanced out with the mashed potatoes and the coulis, which for me were the stars of the show. I ended the evening with a slice of pecan pie that was delicious. Not too sweet, and great with the ice cream. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would happily suggest to anyone.

★ 3This is a pub that’s just a bit off of the beaten path. Given how few restaurants there are in Randolph, I would recommend it. The burgers are half price on Sunday. Cheese was skimpy so I’d skip it. Couldn’t taste the cheese. Fries were fine. They seemed to be understaffed when we went so service was poor but the workers were friendly and busy. It’s described as cozy but to us it was anything but that. We were cold. A small woodstove heated one table. There are also pool tables for those who want to play. In another location with more options I might skip this restaurant but given that choices are limited we will likely return.

★ 1July 23rd around 5:45pmnOverall experience 2/10nMy husband and I thought we'd give it a try, we've heard good things.
We weren't told what they were out of until we tried to order it.
Poutine was not great, fries were nowhere near fresh cooked, soggy by the time it arrived, unseasoned and barely warm. Quick service for the poutine, but soggy by arrival.
Steak tips were beyond rare after not being asked how we wanted them, they were drowned in sauce that was far too garlicky, I love garlic, this was too much. They were cold on the inside and overcooked on the outside. We watched a couple send theirs back for being rare as well.
Service wasn't good but they had two servers for a packed house with people pouring in the door.
No alcohol menu on the menu itself, you have to find them on the wall.
We had to wait 20 minutes after receiving our appetizer to order our entree.
We were there for about an hour and maybe 10 minutes within that, we had food.
This painting is the only positive note.
Overall, we will not return.
