We visited Farmer’s Daughter for brunch to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We started with coffee, which was solid, and you can truly taste the freshness in their ingredients since everything is locally sourced. That part of the experience absolutely shines. It’s also really cute place inside that offers fresh greenery, and natural lighting environment.

Unfortunately, the timing was where things fell apart. While it is a busy brunch spot and some wait is expected, it took nearly an hour before we started noticing that guests who arrived after us were receiving their food first. Our server did acknowledge the delay, but by the time our meals arrived, it had been closer to 90 minutes. At that point, the excitement and, honestly, the hunger had faded.

I ordered a croissant sandwich with ham, eggs, and a drizzle of sweetness. I am sure it was good, but after such a long wait, I was not able to fully enjoy the dish or the experience as a whole.

That said, I do appreciate how the situation was handled in the end. The team comped our entire meal as an apology, which showed genuine accountability and attentiveness. Because of that, and because the quality and sourcing clearly matter here, I would be open to returning to give it another try under better timing circumstances.

The food here was simply amazing. You will need a reservation for brunch as it is very busy, even during the weekdays. We had the Chicken + Waffle Benedict which was simply delicious. It was the bartenders recommendation and he did a great job with that! We also had the Prosciutto + Pear Press and that was spectacular. We paired those with a Vitamin C On The Rocks and it went great. Overall it was worth the 40 minute drive and we plan on coming again!

I have some things to say about this place as someone who enjoys trying new local stops when I travel.

Pros: Food presentation was good with a sizable portion. Food tasted good. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Open atmosphere.

Cons:n1.) Upon entry, the two of us were told there was an hour wait. There were one four top tables and two, two top table open. As well as out-door seating and several places at the countertop. We inquired about the counter and there was a brief low exchange and we were allowed to sit, but there was blatant hesitation/apprehension. It felt as though they simply did not want to sit us, while families that entered after us did not have an hour wait.

2.) my food, while it was seasoned well and tasted pretty ok, came out cold to lukewarm. The potatoes were chewy. My toast was rock hard and barely buttered and the eggs were the saving grace being moderately heated.

3.) The server we had, was efficient when they came around. However. We had to flag them down when we wanted something instead of them checking in periodically. Non-communicative. Didn’t offer to refill the “bottomless” coffee until we had to catch their attention and we sat and waited for an extended period for our bill at the end. Genuinely it wasn’t busy enough for them to be ignored for most of the time.

4.) Price. All of this lukewarm food and service, cost my dining partner and myself $70+. Two plates. Scrambled eggs, potatoes and a choice of protein and two cups of coffee.

I can’t say that the service and food was worth the value and I will be sure to steer clear in the future.
Our money is just as good as anyone else’s money and it simply felt like it could be better spent elsewhere at this rate.

The Farmer's Daughter popped up on my feed this week & I took it as a delicious little sign from the brunch universe 🌿✨ Clearly it was time. With locations in Easton & Sudbury, just about 40 minutes from Worcester right off Route 9, it’s an easy cruise with a very tasty reward at the end. I made a reservation which I definitely recommend, especially on the weekend when the brunch crowd rolls in hungry & hopeful. They’re known for farm to table, locally sourced ingredients & you can absolutely taste the difference. Everything feels intentional, fresh, & thoughtfully layered. I kicked things off with a Bloody Mary that had just the right kick, while my friend went with the Vitamin C on the rocks. Both were brunch royalty in a glass. We started with the Hot Mess Potatoes loaded with bacon, gouda, & jalapeños. Crispy, cheesy, a little spicy… honestly some of the best potatoes we’ve ever had. The kind you keep reaching for even when you swear you’re “saving room.” Decision making was not our strong suit when it came to the benedicts, so we didn’t. We split the Chicken & Waffle Benedict topped with fig jam & bacon 😋 Sweet, savory, crispy, rich. A full flavor orchestra. I ordered the TFD Benedict on challah bread with turkey sausage & tomato jam, all crowned with chive hollandaise. Every bite had layers of flavor that somehow played perfectly together without overpowering each other. Hands down one of the best brunches I’ve had in a long time. And shout out to Fabi, our waitress, who took such great care of us from start to finish. Brunch dreams officially fulfilled 🍳🥂nn#FarmersDaughterMA #EastonMA #SudburyMA #MassachusettsBrunch #WorcesterEatsn#BrunchGoals #FarmToTable #LocallySourced #BenedictLovers #HotMessPotatoesn#BloodyMaryBrunch #FoodieFinds #WeekendBrunch #SupportLocal #NewEnglandEats 🥂🍳
