  ​An Elegant Breakfast Spot with Wonderful Staff (Just Mind the Checkout)n​The Atmosphere & First Impressionsn​High-End Finishes: The restaurant is beautifully designed with high-end finishes, creating a very upscale environment.n​Impeccably Clean: Upon arriving, we immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained the entire space was.n​Warm Welcome: The hostess was incredibly kind and set a great tone for our breakfast.n​The Food & Servicen​Fantastic Menu: The menu offers a wonderful assortment of options. We were originally drawn in because we were excited to try their homemade Pop-Tart!n​Accommodating & Kind: Our waiter was a very nice gentleman. The kitchen was more than happy to make small adjustments to our orders for dietary needs, which we deeply appreciated.n​Kudos to the Staff: The waitstaff does a phenomenal job, especially considering the clientele. This area tends to attract a lot of pompous professionals, and we witnessed customers being incredibly rude to the staff on two back-to-back visits.n​A Note on the Crowd: For example, we were in on a Thursday afternoon and watched a large group of business professionals completely ignore their server. They wouldn't even acknowledge them or say thank you. It felt like olden times, where the staff were treated like servants to a king or queen and were just expected to take abuse. It was really bad.n​A Quick Note on the Checkout Processn​Rushed Payment: The payment process felt a bit rushed. The server hands you a small payment machine and quickly pushes you to complete the transaction right then and there.n​Keep an Eye Out: We aren't the type of people to scrutinize a bill closely—if it's right around the expected amount, we don't worry about it. However, the lady at the table right before us was loudly complaining about a service fee on her bill, and she ended up not leaving a tip at all because of it. Combined with how fast they push the payment machine on you, it might be worth taking a quick second to look over your total if you are the type of person who likes to verify the fine print. Come on people, do better!n​Overall Impressionn​It is an expensive spot, but the food quality, cleanliness, and excellent service from the waitstaff make it worth a visit. The staff handles a tough crowd beautifully!

  In general I despise American food. Especially, no Southern America food.
  
  However, Ted's gets 5 stars because of the bathrooms. The food was alright. But the bathrooms, when you've got a toddler and an infant made all the difference. So while the food was basic fair, the facilities make this a place i will return too. That and the customer service. Cause you know how I feel when youre nice to my kids.

  This was my first time visiting Washington, D.C., and I randomly chose a local restaurant to dine at. The service and the food were absolutely amazing! The waitress was incredibly warm and friendly. Since I wasn’t sure what to order, I asked her for recommendations—and they turned out to be perfect. As a visitor, this made me really happy. The steak and the beef soup were both delicious. I would definitely come back again next time. Thank you so much!

  The single best breakfast meal I’ve ever had. Steak & Eggs with home fries. Truly the breakfast of champions!

  if I could give 10 stars I would. We have two kids on the spectrum I could be treated so badly at the Marriott Capitol Hill -we had the time of our lives here. Also, my son said it was the best pancakes you ever had, and my chicken and biscuits was to die for. The dinner was just as good I would actually eat here every single day I’m in DC
