  S&G is a fabulous restaurant serving up classic diner fare. Their menu is extensive and truly has something for everyone. There are especially known for their breakfast skillets that are packed with ingredients and come in huge portions.
  
  We went at lunch time so I opted for the gyro sandwich, this place is Greek after all! The gyro was fantastic. The meat was seasoned well and the veggies on top were fresh. The meal came with a soup and side as well. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a while, fluffy on the inside with a perfectly golden exterior.
  
  Overall this is a must try spot for delicious food, huge portions, and great service.

  Had the best time here! I got the #1 Original Skillet and my dad had two eggs over easy. Friendly staff, quick service, very affordable, and great food!

  I recently visited this restaurant, and while it may feel a bit outdated, the friendly and attentive staff make up for it. They genuinely care about making sure you leave happy, always going the extra mile. I had the avocado club on sourdough bread with a side of lentil soup, and both were delicious—simple yet satisfying. If you’re looking for a place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this spot is worth a visit!

  S&G is an incredible multigenerational family diner and an institution in Chicago.
  
  They have rich black coffee and an amazing selection of skillets covered in cheese.
  
  Absolutely worth spending a morning here with friends!
