★ 5I had a great experience at Ruby Sunshine. We went for breakfast and got there before the rush, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and easy.
Our server, Jayla, was amazing. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
The food was really good. I had eggs, bacon, fried green tomatoes, grits, and a biscuit. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and comforting. I also tried the pancakes, and they were surprisingly amazing, especially with the honey butter.
By around 11, it started getting busy, so I’m glad we arrived when we did. Overall, Ruby Sunshine was a great breakfast spot with good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. Check out my review on TikTok: ShiningSunflower_BR -

★ 5Went here on a Sunday when there was a home game 🙃 whoops! Very hard to find parking on this day. They have a small lot attached, but we ended up finding street parking. When we got in the building it was very crowded, lucky we had a reservation ready to go! Very popular spot and I can see why.
The brunch was a classic, many vast offerings from sweet to savory. They had mimosas , Bloody Marys, etc. the coffee was also good - a huge plus. I got avocado toast with a poached egg on top, fruit and some sausage. My friend got grits and it was reportedly excellent!
Our waitress was so sweet, she made us feel like friends and really made the experience feel way more personalized and caring. They were so busy, but food did not lag timing wise or lack with any flavor or taste. Overall, would definitely be back - but not on game day 😉 (I guess unless I’m going to the game) -

★ 5We found this restaurant by Google searching the area from our hotel and it did not disappoint! While we waited, we ordered the CREAMY VANILLA SPICED LATTE… very delicious!
The wait was about 1hour and 15 minutes for our party of 5 but our waitress TASHA made the wait worth while! Tasha introduced herself; which is always most important to us when we are patronizing a restaurant. Thank you Tasha for being a lovely and professional waitress!
We ordered the founders favorite WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING PANCAKES, Berry Chantilly French Toast, Bananas Foster French Toast, and the Classic French Toast. Our side order of Chicken Sausage, scrambled eggs, grits and breakfast potatoes were also served warm with love.
The atmosphere is a nice Nola urban, modern vibe for CLT and the patrons during our visit were young, single couples with iconic style. Decor is representative of the CLT vibe.
This is a definitely a breakfast/brunch spot that will be on our TOP hit list when we travel to the Queen City! -

★ 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic First Visit to Ruby SunshinennThis was my first time at Ruby Sunshine, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. My server, Rae, was amazing — friendly, attentive, and really added to the overall vibe of the morning.
I ordered the peach Bellini, the biscuits and gravy, and a shot of tequila, and everything hit exactly how it needed to. The price was surprisingly great, and the food was even better. The gravy was seasoned just the way I like it — hot, flavorful, and comforting — and the biscuits were perfectly fluffy. I also tried the candied bacon, which was sweet but honestly pretty good and a fun addition to the meal.
I would absolutely come back, and I’d encourage anyone to give them a try. For a first visit, I had the best time. -

★ 1I’m so torn on this review because the food at Ruby Sunshine actually tastes great, but the to-go portions are an absolute joke.
I ordered the shrimp and grits, and for an $18 price tag, I expected a decent meal. Instead, I opened my container to find exactly three shrimp. Three. For eighteen dollars? I feel incredibly played and like I completely wasted my money.
To make matters worse, the beignets are completely not as advertised. They were flat, I literally thought they were pita chips when I opened the box. Beignets are supposed to be pillowy and airy, not hard and deflated.
If you want to charge premium prices, you need to provide a premium portion, especially for takeout when we aren't even getting the dine-in experience or service. Flavor is a 10/10, but value for the price is a 1/10. I won't be ordering from here again
