★ 5Was tasting for some breakfast in the hyde park area when I was raising my family in Roxbury my go to place for breakfast was Ma Dixon. Been living in HP for about 6 years. So I went to this place being a first time customer. Atmosphere was kind of small not alot of seating. Ordered 3 breakfast plates to go from I think her name was Susan. I have severe anxiety but she made me feel welcomed. Will be coming more often.

★ 5Dine in, have some breakfast and coffee, and slow down a little bit, enjoy yourself and the atmosphere. If I lived in Hyde Park I would definitely be a usual here.

★ 2I called in and ordered an omelette, they didn’t have half of the toppings I originally wanted so they substituted them which was fine with me. They do not take cards so I had to use the ATM but they have one in the store so that’s good. The customer service was good and the environment was chill but I cannot excuse this “omelette”. When I opened my food container I was confused weather they heard my order correctly or not because this did not look like an omelette and the portion size was small in my opinion. I’m not sure who was working the grill today but they should maybe be more careful or patient while cooking peoples food, this seemed like a careless rush job and they weren’t even busy. Not gonna lie it didn’t taste bad though, just a small, horrendous looking omelette.

★ 5If you are ever in the area Richys should be on your list to stop in and try. The service is top notch and the food is cooked to order hot and fresh. Rasberry Lime Rickeys are totally awesome. My last time there I had the French Toast and Corned Beef Hash. Very tasty.

★ 5It's a breakfast counter, pure and simple. Simple, no frills, basic fare cooked well, fast, and with a smile and at a price that cannot be beat.
Engaging friendly folk here, very much a neighborhood place. If you need a breakfast or lunch to get you through the day at a more than decent cost (remember, cash only and bring small bills) then this is a good choice.
Parking could be problematic, there's a lot across the street but were it busy you might find street parking nearby.
My first visit was Plate 2 at $9.25, it won't be my last.
