  I recently visited The Original Pancake House in Metuchen, NJ, and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The food was delicious and definitely worth the wait. The coffee was great, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality and portions.
  
  The atmosphere was lively and a bit on the noisy side, but it added to the vibrant vibe of the place. The decor was charming and made the dining experience even more pleasant.
  
  We were a group of three, and the wait time was about 30 minutes, which felt reasonable given how busy it was. We ordered the avocado toast, mini Dutch Baby, and strawberry Dutch Baby — all of them were fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared.
  
  A special shoutout to our server, Ashley, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her great service really made the visit even better.
  
  Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for tasty breakfast options and a fun, energetic atmosphere!

  This place has outstanding costumer service. Our server Shirley B was excellent very sweet, professional, attentive, she took the time to explain a certain dish and made our first time here an amazing experience. The food was delicious, we got an omelet, huevos rancheros, a side of green salsa, a stack of pancakes and a latte. Everything was great! Very flavorful. What stuck out to me the most was the costumer service though. Top tier, I give Shirley a 1000/10 rating. I personally don't live in NJ but some of our costumers and drivers from work do. I will definitely recommend this place to them.

  Let me start by saying you must try this place!! The food was fresh, plentiful, and delicious!! The menu had a variety of options. The decor was very charming and clean. But for me the best part of my visit was the amazing staff!! My server Alana was awesome. As were a host of other employees. When Kathy, the general manager did her rounds I expressed my great experience due to this being my first time here. And I found her to be genuinely gratful! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!

  Went here with my son on a busy Friday morning. The wait was well worth it, I’ve never met such kind and attentive people at a restaurant in my life (and I eat out a lot as a business owner who travels from NYC to NJ often) Our waiter was Chris, I did not catch the name of the hostess who sat us but she was also absolutely amazing. I have celiac disease and they went above and beyond accommodating my allergy request. They even brought out a gluten friendly waffle for me to try. Food was great, music was great, super busy but food came out fast once seated. Will be back.

  Absolutely amazing experience at The Original Pancake House in Edison, NJ! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was outstanding and there was no wait time, which made it even better.
  
  The pancakes were hands down the best we’ve ever had—fluffy, fresh, and full of flavor. Since it was our first time, the manager Cathy went above and beyond by sending us three different types of pancakes to try: original, coconut, and pumpkin. Such a thoughtful and welcoming gesture that truly made us feel special.
  
  Our server Ashley was incredible. She gave amazing recommendations, was very attentive, and had the sweetest attitude throughout our visit. Her service made the experience even more enjoyable. I really like that she spoke Spanish because she was able to communicate with my mom 😂nnOverall, top-tier food, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this location to friends and family! 🥞✨
