★ 5This was my first time to Old Salt Fish and Bagel, and I will definitely go back. The bagels are fantastic (obviously they’re best fresh but you could keep them for a day or two at home as well.)nnI had the lox sandwich with everything bagel as they recommended it off the menu. Would definitely get it again. I’m interested to try some of their other offerings as well.
Service was fast and friendly. One thing to note is parking can get crowded in the area. I went on a weekday before noon and easily found parking on the street.
Looking forward to stopping in next time I’m in area. -

★ 5A bagel place you can trust. Sometimes the simplest order ends up being the most memorable, the blueberry bagel with herb cream cheese completely won me over. Fresh, soft, and perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. Sunday mornings can get really busy with a long line, so ordering online for pickup was definitely the move. Quick, convenient, and still just as delicious when we got it. A solid spot I’d happily come back to again.

★ 4We’ve been here multiple times and the food is good! They have a small selection of different cured fish you can choose to top your bagel. Their bagels are doughy and soft with a little extra chew. The cream cheese is well balanced and it doesn’t feel like they give you too much. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 / 5 is for the prices. Personally, >$16 for a bagel, cream cheese and a small amount of cured fish isn’t a fair price. Or maybe I’m just not a cured fish on bagels kinda guy.

★ 5We recently visited the Old Salt location in Ballard and loved the whole experience. The storefront is so charming, the colors really stand out! While there isn’t indoor seating, there are some outdoor spots to enjoy your food. Parking was surprisingly easy, with free street options nearby. The bagels here are not your traditional dense, hard-to-chew kind, which is exactly why I love them! They’re chewy, fluffy, and moist — such a refreshing change. We tried the Kippered Salmon Sandwich and the Smoked Cod Sandwich. At first, I thought the prices were a bit high, but the portions of fish were generous and filling, so it felt well worth it.
Another pleasant surprise was the coffee. Usually, bakery coffee can be bitter or disappointing, but Old Salt’s was smooth and easy to drink, perfect pairing with their bagels. Overall, a wonderful spot in Ballard with unique bagels and excellent fish sandwiches. Definitely worth a visit! -

★ 5I’m obsessed with this place. You can see them preparing everything behind the counter, which I always love—and everything just feels fresh and full of good energy. The bagels and cream cheese are incredible—perfect texture, great flavor, and you can tell they really care about the food they’re putting out.
It’s got that neighborhood vibe that makes you want to come back again and again. Definitely in my top 5 favorite quick breakfast spots in Seattle right now.
