  We stopped into the Octagon a couple of times during our trip to Stowe this weekend. This lodge sits at the top of Mt Mansfield, it's no frills but the food is pretty good, the lodge is a great place to warm up, and the views up here are fantastic.

  Great pit stop at the top of mountain before you hit Toll Road, a 15 min/4 mile blue run that transitions to green. Grab a hot coco the hit Toll Road, one of the most relaxing runs on the East Coast. It's a logging trail that has a small church about halfway down. great photo ops along the whole trail. Stowe is one of my favorites and the Toll Road is the run that makes this place extra special

  Expensive as expected and nice view and location at the top of the quad. Would have given it 4 stars but there was a weird sewage-ey smell in the entrance and the whole main kitchen room.
  
  Food options were limited, mostly i saw various versions of grilled cheese, soups, and drinks

  Limited seating, but public restrooms available even for non-customers. A nice pit stop between the runs with terrific views on the clear days.

  Nice place to warm up. As with any resort, it is expensive - paid 3.50 for a large coffee.
