★ 5We stopped into Munchies Breakfast & Lunch after a long medical appointment. I’m currently dealing with breast cancer and getting ready to start radiation, and if I’m being honest, I’m still adjusting to being out in public after everything. I went from having really long hair to having to cut it short because of chemotherapy, and these days I’m usually in a baseball cap and not feeling quite like myself.
From the moment we walked in, our waitress Gail (I hope I spelled her name right) was incredible. You can tell she’s been there a long time for a reason. She was warm, funny, attentive, and made us feel genuinely comfortable right away. Nothing felt forced, just real, kind service that you don’t see much anymore. I felt like we had already been coming there for years.
The food was just as good. We both got burgers and fries, and the burgers were cooked exactly how we asked for them, well done but still juicy, which is not easy to pull off. My husband ordered his without cheese, which somehow gets messed up all the time, and Gail made absolutely sure it was done right without us having to make a point of it. I had bacon and cheese on mine, and both orders came out as ordered and delicious. The fries were perfect too. Even the bottled soda stood out because it was actually cold (ice cold), which almost never happens (usually barely chilled). Gail offered us glass and/or ice, and then the three of us had a laugh because we all agreed Coke just tastes better straight out of the bottle.
What really stood out, though, was how we were treated. When you’re going through something like this and not quite feeling like yourself, small acts of kindness hit a lot harder (a lot harder). Gail made this feel easy and normal again for a bit, and that meant more than she will probably ever realize.
We will 10000% be back to eat at Munchies again! -

★ 3The menu looked good as there were so many choices. I didn’t have to wait long for my order, but maybe should’ve. Everything had no seasoning. Nothing on the French toast besides the basic eggs and milk, no cinnamon, not even a hint of vanilla. The home fries tasted only of potatoes no onions or peppers. And the ham was okay. It was an okay breakfast, nothing too bad, just so-so.

★ 1Charged more when you pick up prices are not the same online and to wait 40 min for breakfast I wasn’t in the mood to argue price because they definitely was not changing the price regardless of what I showed them

★ 5I came in right when they were about to close and Gayle said “don’t worry hunny, we will make you something.” I got fish and chips and it was sooo good!!! Gayle is so nice and welcoming, she even stayed later so I can eat my food. The food was amazing and service was even better!!

★ 5Food was delicious and I will go back! Not a very busy place for a Saturday morning. Server was nice and friendly but we had to ask for coffee after sitting there for about 10/15 minutes.
