  First time visiting Mel’s based on a co-workers recommendation. We had a party of 10 for lunch. There was plenty of seating and our server got our drinks and took our orders quickly. I ordered the sparerib sliders based upon the server’s recommendation. My first slider was amazing. Plenty of meat and sauce. My second was light on the meat and the sauce but the flavor was still very tasty. My only criticism is the orders came out at two separate times with a significant gap of time between them. Not normally an issue but one of the three people forced to wait longer and watch most of the table eat was eight months pregnant. In the end, we had a great time and I would recommend trying Mel’s out.

  ******6 out of 5 stars!!!******nnI came in for breakfast on a weekday while in town for a conference and this was an AMAZING experience… The service, quality, and experience exceeded my expectations!! My server was Scooter and he was outstanding! He gave all sort of great info about the restaurant, their menu, and made great suggestions of what to eat. He also provided outstanding service! The food came out quickly and was made with fresh and beautiful ingredients too! The flavors were great! I was so very impressed with this experience, as I travel often and always enjoy a nice breakfast, but rarely do I get such a great experience! Definitely recommend stopping in here!!

  Great place for a relaxing but yet cool experience! They have a juke box on each table, you can pick any song for 25 cents & it plays in the restaurant. We got seated right away on a Saturday afternoon, I got the Caesar avocado chicken wrap & sweet potatoes fries & my boyfriend got the smash burger. And omg was it amazing!

  Hands down one of the best restaurants we went in Nashville! It was very busy but we were seated right away. This place gives old school diner vibes. Our server was delightful, I wish I knew her name to shout her out! The steak was made to perfection. Food hit the spot and we were full. Next time we go to Nashville, we plan to come here for dinner.

  Mel’s Drive‑in is exactly what Nashville needed. The atmosphere is incredible: fun, lively, and full of character. It brings something fresh while still feeling like an instant classic. Perfect for casual hangs, late nights, family meals or bringing friends from out of town.
  It’s got the classic diner favorites mixed with thoughtful, chef-driven touches. Also, healthy options for gluten-free like me.
