We came to Market Street Café specifically to try the famous oxtail soup, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We did have about an hour-long wait, but once we were seated, everything moved quickly. Our order was taken right away, and soon enough we had our soup and a burger on the table.

The oxtail soup was delicious. The meat fell right off the bone, and the broth was rich and full of flavor. I personally would have loved it to be hotter, since it came out more on the lukewarm side. I’m not sure if that’s intentional because they’re so busy and want to keep things moving, but either way, the flavor was incredible. The burger, on the other hand, was just okay and nothing particularly special.

The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great. The place was filled with so many local Hawaiian families that it made the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, worth the visit for the oxtail soup alone!

We stopped in for lunch and ended up having one of those meals that just hits the spot. I went for the club sandwich and fries—classic and done right. Crispy fries, stacked sandwich, no complaints. We also ordered the saimin, which was super comforting and full of flavor, and a big breakfast plate with pancakes, tocino, eggs, and rice. Talk about the best of both worlds—sweet, savory, and totally satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, like real island comfort food. By the time we left, we were completely st■ and so happy. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just enjoy your meal. If you’re anywhere nearby and craving island-inspired flavors, definitely make the stop. You won’t regret it!

This place is a 24h Hawaiian Restaurant. I came here with a group to try the famous oxtail soup (served 11pm- 6am). There is a wait time so be prepared. The oxtail soup broth was flavorful and the portion size was moderate with lots of fall-off-da bone oxtail. I couldn't finish the whole thing, so I took it to-go and it actually tastes better the next day when reheated. The atmosphere and service was average (not the same aloha spirit-I guess just food inspired). For drinks they stated that we had to order from the casino servers not at the restaurant, which was inconvenient, especially if you want a Hawaiian Sun juice with your meal. I wanted to their butterfish, but maybe next time when it is available.

Have to order what’s right for you. Have been here a few times over last few years. Went for breakfast recently, pancakes were good, they are open 24 hours so good place to go for breakfast for those of us on east coast time. In past have gotten the prime rib special, it was good. Got a Hawaii noodle dish (forget name) that I did not like, was a bit greasy.
