★ 5This restaurant is an awesome snowmobile destination for breakfast or lunch. We’ve been coming over from Rangeley; the service is friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious. Their hand cut French fries and chips really knock it out of the park! Coffee is hot, but the mimosa is tempting…nn*if coming by snowmobile from Rangeley area, the trail entrance is around back, don’t cross the street into their parking lot (we did this by mistake the first time)*

★ 1After checking out of our hotel, we chose to support a local family-run business instead of going back to Sugarloaf for breakfast, like we usually would.
AFTER our order was placed we waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. This wouldn't have been the end of the world.... but the six top that was seated at the same time as us..... had time to order their food, wait for their food, eat their food, pay their check, hang out and chill, andddd leave- while we were still sitting there waiting! I watched tables that were sat after us, get their food.
There were multiple to-go orders made in front of our meal.
As someone that works in the industry... you do not spend an hour making to go orders while you have 2 people physically sitting in your restaurant waiting for breakfast for over an hour and 20 minutes...
As we sat and waited, and waited, and waited, there was barely any communication from the server- however I did hear her speaking to the kitchen about the to-go orders....
We finally had to ask if our ticket had been lost/ if our food was still coming.
She said it would be right up, and she would comp our food, after another 20 minutes it finally arrived.
I would love to say the food at least was good, but it was not.
The home fries were mostly RAW boiled potatoes, that had a bit of burnt char on them, ZERO seasoning, not even salt.
My omelette was soup and my husband's pancakes were burnt.
We were going to get up and leave at the hour mark, but were so exhausted and hungry from snowboarding, and had already waited sooooo long, we figured we would stick it out.
Hoping for some delicious hot food! Had we known how it was going to turn out, we definitely would have walked out.
We did not complain about our horrible food after finallyyyyyy getting it, because clearly there was no point.
I've worked in the service industry, front and back of house for over 20 years.
I understand it was reggae weekend and things were busy- however I believe this Cafe needs to do some serious restructuring. We've wanted to try this place every time we've come for a Sugarloaf trip... but will definitely not be back -

★ 1Traditional breakfast menu with eggs, French toast, pancakes, etc . Nothing really jumped out as far as taste. The menu talked of large portions. Maybe they were referring to the pancakes because they were plate sized. My loaded omelette and croissant was nearly $25. I expected more. We did not try their homemade donuts. A good donut can always move the needle. Our server was greatnbut I would expect a thank you from the hostess/owner on the way out. Don't hate for the ketchup use... LolnUpdate May 20, 2026- Absolute trash. Nothing was made from scratch. Home fries do not come out of a fryer later and do not taste like day-old McDonald's french fries nor have the exact same texture. They've clearly been sitting around for a while and silly me for ordering an extra helping of it. I might as well have just laid my money on the on the plate for them to take back with them. You want to talk about corned beef, whatever frozen hash brown potatoes with some sort of chopped looking meat that didn't resemble corned beef in any way shape or form. People work way too hard for their money to spend it on trash. Food. Work hard. Make your own food. We gave him another shot this year even though last year wasn't great. The portions are still a joke. One piece of toast with breakfast. Who does that two pieces of French toast as a serving? Who does that? There won't be a time where we darkened that doorstep ever again and I would encourage people to save their hard-earned money and spend it on real food.

★ 5Absolutely delicious breakfast and lunch! This little jewel was close to our cabin we stayed in and we couldn't have been happier. Everything that we had was great and everyone was so nice and even gave us tips of places to go visit!! The ice cream sandwiches are a must! The only disappointment is we didn't get some t-shirts before we left. Lol

★ 5Awesome local diner for great breakfast and run by really nice people.
How pancakes are supposed to be made and with real Maine blueberries if you want them 👍🏻nnWent back the next day and had the homemade corn beef hash, and it was 10/10!
