★ 5I had the Chicarom Benedict this morning and honestly, it felt like one of those breakfasts that quietly resets your whole day in the best way possible. From the first bite, you could tell there was real care behind the dish. The balance of flavors was incredible — rich without being heavy, comforting while still feeling bright and fresh.
The eggs were perfectly poached with that silky golden center that melts beautifully into everything underneath. The bread had the ideal texture: crisp enough to hold everything together, yet soft and airy inside. But what truly made the dish unforgettable was the Colombian-inspired twist. The seasoning and flavor profile brought warmth, depth, and personality that you don’t usually find in a traditional Benedict. It felt soulful, vibrant, and deeply satisfying.
Every component tasted intentional. Nothing was overpowering. The sauce was velvety and flavorful without drowning the dish, and the combination of savory elements created this amazing harmony that kept me wanting “just one more bite” until the plate was completely empty.
Beyond the food itself, the experience felt welcoming and joyful. You can feel when a restaurant cooks with heart, and this breakfast absolutely delivered that feeling. It reminded me of the kind of meals that make people linger at the table a little longer, smiling between bites and already talking about coming back.
If you appreciate creative brunch dishes that still honor comfort and tradition, the Chicarom Benedict is something special. It’s elevated without trying too hard, memorable without being flashy, and easily one of the best brunch dishes I’ve had in a long time. Absolutely five stars — flavorful, unique, comforting, and beautifully executed. -

★ 5My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this diner for the first time and were impressed by the friendly service. I ordered the Cuban chicken sandwich which featured grilled chicken ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and chipotle aïoli on a sub roll. While my husband enjoyed the Costilla BBQ, which included French fries, and coleslaw. Both meals were satisfying. The diners interior is surprisingly pleasant. We highly recommend this establishment.

★ 4Good waitresses and great cook.
Being charged extra for everything on omelet individually was odd. They also charge more for credit card use.
Heater is nice and toasty and of course they have good coffee.
Enough parking for small place. -

★ 3The presentation of the food was great and set our expectations high after a full day of travel. Unfortunately, the flavor was disappointing. Although my veggie omelette was great, I think many people would not have liked the under cooked broccoli stems in it. I just happen to like very al dente veggies. My issues started with the coffee which was old and stale. They definitely needed to brew a fresh pot. The home fries looked great but were dry and flavorless and the toast was just low standard whole wheat toast. I really expect better bread quality in 2026. My wife had the ribs, which she felt were Ok but nothing special.
Our main issues were with the service. The place was nearly empty of customers, but yet the service from start to finish was slow and inattentive. We were not greeted upon coming in, sat ourselves, waited a while for menus despite there being 2 waitresses, plenty for a tiny place. Waited to place drink orders which did not arrive till much later and not at the same time. How hard is it to get a cup of burnt coffee and a diet Coke? Waitress did not bring a glass for the diet Coke and quickly turned her back to us- took another 5 minutes to flag her down to get a glass and some ice.
While waiting an inordinate amount of time for the food, I needed a refresher of my nearly done coffee so I put my cup near edge of the table which is the typical diner sign for a refill. Waitress quickly grabbed the cup, my napkin and spoon and ran off for what I thought was a refill which of course never came. Eventually my wife was able to flag her down and get the refill.
When the food eventually did come my wife's order was wrong. The platter was supposed to come with plantains, but had fries instead. We would have tried to rectify the mistake but again the waitress ran off again and never came back to check in at any point during the meal. This is service 101 people!
Additionally we enjoyed the music, but it was played way too loud for our comfort and interfered with normal conversation. The employees seemed to enjoy it though, one even dancing to it.
Waitress did eventually clear our plates long after we were done, but quickly disappeared and never returned. I eventually went to the counter and interrupt 2 employees conversation and asked to be checked out.
At best the service was indifferent bordering on rude. Honestly I felt that the employees were more interested in their own enjoyment and socializing then taking care of the customer.
It was a disappointing experience which is a shame because the old school diner has a lot of charm like old classic diners often do, they just didn't deliver on service or flavor
