★ 5Kanela Breakfast Place is in a prime location in Chicago, and I must say it is one of the best breakfast spots I have tried in the city. The food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The service was amazing very friendly and fast. For the quality of food and service, the price was very reasonable. I would give it a solid 10/10. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast in Chicago.

★ 1Definitely a restaurant i would never go back to. First, the French Toast was not dipped. It looked more like grilled bread than French Toast. Second, if you're not baking your omelets, you don't deserve to be in the breakfast business. Eggs were rubbery as they usually are when you cook them on a flat top. The ingredients were in the omelet, but not incorporated..... and the feta in the omelet? Feta should be crumbled not grated and dry. I asked for a side of sausage links and got chopped sausage in my omelet. Finally, one piece of toast? Really? For a $25 omelet order you offer 1 piece of bread? You either don't care about your business or you don't know your business. Either way, you won't be around long.

★ 4It would not be my first choice of breakfast, their drip coffee is ok, my mom ordered tea, it was bag tea, not lose leaf tea. We made a mistake by ordering sunny side up and pork sausages, it was good, but I can cook it myself. In general this place seems a little expensive. The salad on the side was literally just green leaves with dressing: no tomatoes, cucumbers, no bacon or egg.

★ 5I Googled a place close to the hotel and Kanelas came up. It was my first time here but definitely not my last. The food was great, the service was great, as Nicholas did a great job of going through some favorites, and the overall experience was great.

★ 3Went here for brunch on a Sunday while visiting Chicago. There was no wait time. The waitress was very nonchalant. The glassware seemed rather used and distressed. The food was just OK. I don't think I'll be visiting this place again if in Chicago.
